Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Our stay was great! The host came to pick us up at the port and before heading to the accomodation, he showed us some places where to go. He also took us for the departure. Very kind of his! A "detail" that made the difference: we had fresh water every day after coming back to the accomodation at night. Thanks to the host and the cleaning people. I recommend a stay here 😊

I am glad I found this gem to stay in Syros. It’s a 5 minute walk from Ermoupoli, 10-15 minutes from Ano Syros but very quiet and on a Main Street where there is plenty of parking space. The room itself was spotless and well designed with attention to comfort and efficiency. Marios, the owner was always available to help with anything we wanted and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. I really cannot find anything negative to say about our stay. Definitely recommend it to anyone

Our stay was exceptional! Mario was the best host - he went above and beyond during the entirety of our 3 day stay. He picked us up from the port, gave us great recommendations, and was instantly available every time we inquired. He also offered an extremely convenient car rental for us that ultimately enhanced our visit to Syros to enjoy the many beaches. The beds were very comfortable and the room was cleaned daily. We truly could not have asked for a better experience.

The rooms are all new, renovated building, balconies with stunning view to Ano Syros and the mountain. I can't stress enough how perfect the location is. Walking distance to everything, even to Ano Syros. The bedroom was very cozy and sunny. The windows are excellently soundproof and offer total shade. The bathroom is very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping services everyday (I was there for 4). Last but not least, the owners Marios and Antonis were amazing: they knew my name when I called them for the first time, they offered me transportation from and to the port, they drove me around to show me the town on the first day and taught me the highlights. Always with a smile and great sense of humor.

The steps to reach everywhere in the island! It is the beauty and the annoying part of Syros, especially at night time! The shower, though traditional, could be rennovated.
Safe neighbourhood, close to shops, everything available within reach, getting to know different parts of the island. The weather in late September still felt like Summer. *The balcony is a plus! The cleaning service made you feel like everything was brand new every day. The owners who are brothers are attentive and care about their guests. I cannot thank them enough for helping me reach the appartment and accompanying me on departure. I am grateful for their closeness and availability to help If I go back to Syros I will definitely stay with them again.

We are pretty tall people do only the bed could be bigger. But actually nothing else to change. Everything was great.
The location was more than ideal, between Ermoupoli and Ano Syros you are in a very strategic spot in order to get “lost” in the beautiful alleys of the island

Hospitality was great, nice clean rooms, fresh painted with new equipment. Very good location. The view was excellent also. Very nice view to Ano Syros from the balcony.

The room is really small. A big problem for us was the bathroom that doesn’t have a window or any ventilation at all, so every time it’s used the smell spreads through the whole room. Also the bathroom is so small and has no shower curtain, which means that every time you take a shower, water splashes everywhere and even the toilet gets wet.
It was always clean and in great location 8’ by foot from the main town
