We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel in the heart of Rethymno’s Old Town. The rooms were spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a real highlight – served in a peaceful courtyard that felt like a hidden garden. The food was excellent, and the service exceptional. The team remembered our preferences (e.g. gluten-free bread) after just one day and had everything ready for us the coming days without needing to ask again. All the staff were warm and welcoming – we felt genuinely looked after throughout our stay. A special thank you goes to Nikos at the reception – his friendliness, helpfulness, and local tips were much appreciated. We highly recommend this hotel, especially for couples and families exploring Rethymno. We would happily return.

It has beautiful very large classically decorated rooms, each one different. Large comfortable bed with a mattress topper which you don’t find often, and lots of atmospheric lighting. A wonderful breakfast is included served in the restaurant garden.

One of the most beautiful hotels in Greece. It was like living in a small palace!! Upon arrival they gave us an upgrade to a junior suite. The receptionist Nikos and Stelios were always there to solve all your problems and suggest places to visit or restaurants! The breakfast was amazing. The hotel has everything you need and its in the center of the old town. The car parking ( with an extra fee) makes your holiday easier!! We will surely go back there again sometime!!

I can't imagine coming to Rethymnon and staying anywhere else but at Avli. I can't imagine a more beautiful way to start the day, than having their special breakfast in their dream restaurant that captures the essence of Crete. Central and great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our ‘cookie’ room was spacious, comfortable and had all amenities necessary. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety. We also dined at the hotel’s restaurant Raki ba Raki which also served delicious Cretan cuisine. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Very beautiful room in a historic building, very spacious and impeccably clean. coffee, tea and water always available. The staff were all very professional, close, very welcoming and available for anything we needed. The lounge has an amazing restaurant with different dining rooms, all with impressive decoration and a beautiful garden in between that it is also a cozy and idyllic space for summer and spring. The restaurant staff, where they serve a delicious breakfast, has a 5 stars Service and tasting meals are a unique experience. Located in the best part of Rethymno down town in a beautiful historic city. Colours were something that Impress us a lot and the hotel new how to use them in a very apropriate way.

AC could use a little boost. It gets pretty loud around here with all the bars and restaurants nearby. Things finally quiet down around 2am.

Perfect location, right in the middle of the old city. Clean and spacious room. Excellent breakfast. Easy to park your car.
