There was a water leak from the refrigerator, and we had to clean the kitchen floor every day. The kitchen was not well-equipped; it was missing many of the tools needed to cook properly.

The hotel is a 2-minute walk from the beach and is relatively clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The gym was small, but it had enough space for a workout and was also very clean.

Clean, spacious rooms and great location near the beach and numerous restaurants. Good facilities including a small but well maintained Gym. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely happy to do all they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible! Swimming pool was quite busy but not a problem as we could also use the much quieter pool at the Dominica apartments next door, and the beach was less than 100 metres away. Old town was walkable or a 7 euro taxi ride.

The smell in the room when entering, we had to open the windows.

The rooms were big and clean. There was a bad smell from the bathroom but it didn't bother too much. The pool area was nice, not so big as expected, and the pool was a bit crowded when we came. We stayed only 1 night when going from Chania to Heraklion so we didn't really use the hotel facilities.

The bathrooms are small and everything gets wet due to the design of the bathtub and the lack of ventilation.

Although the property wasn't right on the beach, it was very close with only 1 property right in front of it which offered beach chairs for a rental fee. Also, the location was outside of the busy strip leading to Old Town while still being close to plenty of shopping, restaurants & entertainment. I would definitely recommend this spot.

It's a little far from the center, but if you like waking, it's perfect. Beach is ok, but in the water, there are rocks, so you have to be a little careful when you enter.

Not the best location (is at the end of the brach), but the rooms are nice, clean. The pool si nice and the staff are friendly. If you want to go to the old town you will walk 50 - 60 minutes. You can take a taxi that's 10€. Nice restaurants around. They also have some parking spots. We will totally come back here. The hotel prices are really good compared to other hotels in the area.

Breakfast could have had more variety. Spa amenities etc. were not available.

I was greeted with such politeness by the woman at the reception. She was so helpful, explaining everything I needed to know about the property. She even treated me with sweets during Easter day (visited during Easter). Room was super spacious, with a nice balcony facing the swimming pool and the sea. Breakfast was tasty.

The stretch of beach close to the apartment was disappointingly coarse sand and stony (obviously not the fault of Aristea) but pool compensated for this.

Room was good size and having balcony to sit out on was a bonus. Swimming pool was lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free parking close to apartment. Plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance.

The room was huge, more like a small apartment. Everything was clean and functional. The pool area is nice, as small as it is. The staff were especially helpful and friendly, and gave us lots of tips and advice for things to do in Rethymnon. Would absolutely stay here again.

Our stay at Aristea Hotel was great. The room was spacious, beds very comfortable, nice bathroom and a small kitchenette. The girls at the reception desk are very kind and professional. The hotel is right next to the beach.

We had some difficulty with the people in the next room who were extremely noisy late into the night. The walls seem very thin at 2am. While there was no manager to complain to, we understand a night manager was about to start work in the hotel soon after we left. Staff the next day were very emphatic about our experience. The hotel should think about setting some guidelines about noise levels after midnight. Young families should check with staff whether this hotel suitable for them. I would only stay here again if I knew I could get a decent night sleep.

Staff were fantastic with lots of great advice. Beach and other tourist sites were reasonably close. The room was comfortable and good value.

Vivi was the spotlight of our stay - we haven't met such a kind host for a long time, she explained everything in detail and provided plenty of recommendations - we hope that she will get promoted or at least a hefty pay raise! The rooms were comfortable as well and nothing was missing.

One star off because of the noise caused by the maids drugging the furniture in the morning to make the beds, some padding under the furniture to avoid all this racket is deemed absolutely necessary.
