Stayed twice at Anassa this summer and enjoyed it a lot. Mariana and Marius are wonderful hosts and take great care of their business and guests. The cleaning ladies from Albania are doing a fantastic job and were very polite. The rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely decorated and organized. It was a great option to have a private pool. Breakfast was served on the terrace by the pool and consisted of tasty options catering to anyone’s preferences. The public pool was very big and in a modern set-up. Thank you for having us!

Absolutely nothing!

Just wow. If I could give this review more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. There are lots of incredible reviews and it truly is as good as it seems! Firstly, the owners - this is an absolute credit to them. A husband and wife that decided to build these apartments and have captured beautiful holidays for so many people. They will do absolutely anything for you, are so kind, they checked in with us all of the time to see how our holiday was going. We asked for recommendations on food and were told where they went for food - which we do prefer as we love the local traditional Greek food. We took their recommendations and we rated those restaurants 5/5. The photos on reviews do not even do the place justice. The build and decor has been so thoroughly thought through. Everything in your room is hand made by local companies which gives that extra bit of touch. Our room was incredible spacious with such a beautiful view as you stepped outside into your private pool. Breakfast was brought to our room every single morning (we didn’t have to move a muscle!) and it was something different everyday which we really enjoyed. They ask if you have any allergies or if there is anything that you do not like on arrival but for us, we have no allergies and will eat all - so we really got the benefit from breakfast! Everyday was fresh, hot and promptly on time. We’ve never had a service like this before, so it was something that we really enjoyed. The main pool was big with enough sun lounges for us all. There are also tables and chairs as they serve food until late afternoon if you’re looking for a bite for lunch. We often was in our private pool throughout the day but then as the sun dipped, we went up to the main pool as it’s on a slow slope (not very long!), so the sun lasts for longer up there. We enjoyed both a lot! The cleaner was excellent, she made us laugh quite a few times and was always very cheerful.

Leaving 😭

We had an absolutely outstanding stay at the Anassa Suites. Marios and Marianna are fantastic hosts; welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated and well equipped with storage space, large bed, beautiful bathroom and quaint balcony. We had some of the best sleeps we've ever had in the bed here! The set-back pool and pool area was stunning and incredibly relaxing. Sunbeds were also very comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and varied which we really enjoyed (we couldn't wait to see what we were going to get each morning). Lunches/snacks/drinks around the pool were very reasonably priced and always tasty. Location is great. Restaurants, bars, shops and the beach are all a stone's throw away. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place to anyone! We were very sorry to be leaving.

What is important to emphasise is that the atmosphere here is not only created by the beautiful rooms, the beautiful guest houses and the swimming pools, but above all by the staff. The owners of this place take care to make your holiday as pleasant as possible. They will help you with getting to the airport, help you with choosing excursions, recommend a restaurant. In addition, they will prepare you a delicious breakfast. We now know that we will be coming back here again and again because relaxing here is a pure pleasure, not only for the eye but also for your mental health. A quiet and clean place that will allow you to read a book in peace or lie down in silence by the pool.

A very small minus was we didn't figure out how to finagle the TV, but we also didn't try for very long as it turned out the show we wanted to watch was region locked.

Had an absolutely incredible stay hosted by the sweetest owners. Room: With good sound and light isolation we were able to sleep very well even if we wanted to take a nap during the day. The bed was comfortable and came with different pillows according to your preferences. Rainwater-style shower head which was really nice after a walk in the hot sun. The room had a small balcony with a view onto the mountains and a small table and chairs. Staff: All were very sweet and friendly and we especially bonded with Thanos who made our breakfast every morning. The owners Marius and Marjana (sorry if I butchered the spelling 😅) are both great and gave great restaurant recommendations and also words of advice when we were getting sunburned.. Food: Everything was locally sourced and tasted great, we especially loved the desserts that came with breakfast every morning. Breakfast could be served in the room or by the pool - we ended up choosing by the pool all days because we struggled a lot with the heat and wanted to cool off as much as possible. We chose to eat lunch at the hotel also one of the days which was equally as great as the breakfast, and very reasonably priced compared to restaurants in the area. Facilities: The pool was a good size for a smaller hotel and the water felt very clean and didn't smell of chlorine at all. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The pool area almost felt empty at times even though the hotel was fully booked which felt very zen. Overall a super experience, cannot recommend highly enough!

Couldn’t fault the hotel, it is as just as it looks in the photos. Modern, contemporary and luxurious. The bed is super comfy. You are in the resort itself so close to lots of restaurants and bars. Marianna and Alex are so nice and can’t do enough to help. The daily surprise breakfast delivered to your room is a lovely touch.

The hosts who own the hotel are exemplary hosts, excellent service, order and cleanliness everywhere, attention to even the smallest details. The location is excellent, the breakfast for the private pool, the spacious room, the comfortable shower, the private pool that includes a powerful jacuzzi. The hotel is in a central tourist location, close to beautiful beaches, restaurants and taverns up to half an hour away by car.

We had spectacular holiday! Hotel is new and chic, beds and pillows are very comfortable. We loved that outside pool is not crowded, so we could relax and even fall asleep easily under the sun 😅. The team takes into account your dietary preferences when preparing breakfast and serves it to the pool. Personally recommended the accommodation to all of my friends. We are super grateful to the team for the service and assistance! Guys you’re amazing!

It would be great to have a shelf in the shower, cause you have to put everything on the floor. Also pillows were too high and hard for us to sleep on them. There were 4 of them and they all were the same, so it would be nice to have a thin and less hard pillow as an alternative.

First of all hosts of the hotel are the most pleasant and helpful people. They are definitely putting a lot of effort to make their hotel great place for holidays and make your stay comfortable. Breakfasts are fresh and delicious, pool area is also nice, as the hotel is small it is never crowded there, comfortable sunbeds, clean water, shower and restroom near the pool. You can also buy a drink at their bar near the pool. Our room with jacuzzi was very spacious, everything looked like on the photos from booking, the room is nicely arranged and designed.

That we have stayed just 4 nights.

A wonderful accomodation. Everything is new, since July 2023. Spotless clean. Big room, with space for lugagges, acctualy there are 1 and 1/2 rooms. Incredibile comfy bed and pilows. Everyday cleaning. No noise at all. AC efficient. TV with Netflix,.... Parking inside the property. Nice, big pool with sunbeds and umbrellas. Some rooms have private pools. Breakfast was served near the pool, or in your room. Every morning was something different. Good coffee. It is located on the main road of Malia. Walking distance to restaurants, cocktail bars, beach. Mario and Alex were extremly helpful, polite, ready to give some trips advices. Thank you again, Mario. Nice to meet you. Anda and Onu Lapoș

Do you want to go to stalis/stalida Then I would book here!!! The couple who work there are very helpful and nice people. It was very clean and beautiful. Even if it's a bit noisy outside. Don't you hear anything in the room as everything is isolated. I can not say more. EVERYTHING was perfect.

A relaxing place: great furniture, I booked a suite with private pool and spent my day relaxing and enjoying the weather between the hotel pool and mine :-) Wonderful people, delicious breakfast, perfect facilities, super clean (really important) - to sum up a wonderful time, I will definitively keep this adress to come back :-)

Nothing to criticize

When we first stumbled upon this hotel, it seemed almost too good to be true. Everything was as perfect as it seemed online and even more breathtaking when you walk in. Marios, Alex and Mariana are the most thoughtful, gracious hosts. Rooms: Anassa has brand new, high quality rooms with private pool or whirpool and high quality service. It's super clean and has a lot of comfort items to make you feel at home (coffee machine; slippers; smart TV with netflix, …). Location: The resort is so peaceful and quiet knowing it's only a few steps away from dozens of restaurants, the beach, supermarket, car/scooter rental, .... Food: Nice breakfast which you can have in the room or at the bar. They also serve the best cocktails and lunch at the pool. Thank you Marios, Alex and Mariana for the hospitality! When we're traveling to Crete, we will definitely stay at Anassa again.

Literally nothing!

The venue is completely new. Both the room and bathroom were really comfortable. We had a really nice balcony to chill out on (you can also book the room with a private pool). We also really liked the main pool with a bar where you can order great drinks or food. What is more, the location of the suites is also really good. You can reach the beach after walking circa 150 metres or go for a really tasty meal to one of the traditional greek taverns in the town. Last but not least are the hosts. We created an unique bond with Mario and Alex. They are always eager to help you with antyhing you want. Without their help our stay would not be so amazing . It was really tough to leave this place after 9 unforgettable days.

It was perfect

Highly recommend hotel!! 10/10 The room- they thought about so many details in the room so it was just great, we had two rooms with shared little pool which was awesome. Very clean ! The host- very nice and available for everyone question The location- just perfect, two min walk from the beach but still very peaceful and quiet Breakfast- lovely breakfast that we could have at our room or at the ( very pleasant) pool

There are no complaints

We stayed for a week in the apartment with the private pool and the treatment that we got in this hotel was amazing. The place is brand new and everything is built beautifully for a luxury stay. We enjoyed to spend our week here and have to give a lot of respect to Alex and Marios. They were extremely friendly and helped us with whatever we needed, and asked us if they could do even more. Within a second you feel like home, and they will help you with a lot of tips about what to do in Crete. As a already mentioned, the rooms were completely new and looked beautifully (including a large bathroom, comfort bed, large TV and air-conditioning). Every day, the apartment was being cleaned and you received new towels. In the morning, they provided you with a fresh and tasty breakfast and they would take allergies into consideration, like milk without lactose. In addition, is the location perfect as well, it is close to the beach and a lot of possibilities to go for dinner or to shop. I would highly recommend this stay, as it provides you for a relaxing treatment and holiday. And as bonus, they will make you a cocktail in the bar close to the pool.

I really have no complaints… it’s amazing!

My girlfriend and I stayed here from June 21 to June 24 and slept in the room with private pool. Not only our room but the entire hotel is fantastic! Finished with beautiful materials and clean all the way. The staff is great! Only words of praise for Mario, Alex and the cleaners, you feel at home with them and there is a very familiar atmosphere. With all your questions you can go to them. A nice cocktail, what you should definitely visit during your stay & what are the nice restaurants nearby. Every day there is a fresh, delicious breakfast in bed and the rooms are also cleaned. Everything you can think of is there! (A spacious room, air conditioning, TV, minibar, a blissful bathroom with rain shower, perfect WIFI, etc. I definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who likes to enjoy peace, privacy, top service & all the beauty this hotel has to offer. I will definitely be back & can't wait!
