How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great quiet location but close to beach and restaurants. Beautifully fresh and clean, very comfortable bed, super shower. The owners were absolutely lovely, very welcoming and we ate at their family restaurant on the beach which was excellent.

From the start - very good place to stay. Usually when you come to a small town hotels - you do not expect such level of cleanliness, service and quality. Owner waited for us until 1:30 AM since we were running late and was very welcoming despite late hour. Room was very clean and comfortable, creating a feel of relaxation immediately. All necessities were present and their quality was good. Considering a somewhat lower price of a room - very nice feature. Location is also very nice with 3 minutes to the beach and yacht port. Terrace is very nice to relax in the morning. Morning bakery and coffee shop is 7 minutes with a relaxed walk :) When we had small medical emergency - we immediately got help from the staff to quickly resolve the issue. So if you need a place to stay somewhere for a night or two during travel - look no more.

Unfortunately, you could hear the hallway door and people passing through.
The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The room was freshly cleaned, the bed comfortable and the air condition worked properly. We were also provided with a cloth drying rack for the terrace. Bonus: There was a parking right in front of the house.

nothing, really.
It really is a very comfortable room with a nice bathroom. It is situated between the best restaurant in town (Estia) and the beach. The hosts are really very friendly and helpful.

Due to a payment misunderstanding owners attempted to call and then knocked directly on the door late in the day but issue was easily resolved. Curtains Inbetween room and street are for day use only. One just close the shutters from outside for privacy if light are on inside the room.
Hosts mother who could not speak English tried her very best to communicate during check-in - she was absolutely lovely! Stunning. Amazing extremely comfortable bed. Exceptionally clean property, very modern. Big waterfall shower. Fully equipped kitchen. Friendly local animals that visited the patio (one of them named Cattuccino as decided by us, very fond of grasshoppers). Smart TV plus toiletries are always a bonus.

Nothing, we would stay here again without hesitation.
We arrived very late in the evening, but this was no problem for the owners. They were extremely kind and helpful. And the room was the most cleanest room we ever stayed in during all of our vacations in several countries! Everthing looked brand-new. Very comfortable bed and pillows, too, we really slept like babies.The interior was also tastefully decorated and has everything you could possibly wish for. The beach is just a short walk.

The apartment is like a 4 star hotel room - everything is perfect plus a fully equipped kitchen - a treasure. Parking is aplenty right in front of the building. The owners' windows are favibg the parking. The owner met me at 00:50! That's a real feat given that the check-in is allowed only until 23:30. My ferry was late - I hadn't intendedto make life of the owners difficult :(

We liked everything.
Fabulous clean, modern and stylish apartment. Lots of little extras e.g. choclates on the bed, slippers. Exceptionally clean. Very comfortable bed. Lovely hosts, very friendly and helpful. Close to the beach very walkable. Quiet location.

Small bathroom. Notchy door to our room, a bit difficult to often and close silently.
Nice new room with a kitchenette and a garden section with chairs and a table. No sea view but walking distance to the beach and the town center. Very friendly hosts.
