Nice views, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Also very helpful with the luggage and parking, as it can be tricky around there. The room was modern and clean.

We thought it was slightly odd that there was a whole kitchen area, but it had no pots or pans to cook with. Of course that would only matter if we were planning on cooking for ourselves, and I'm sure we could have requested some! And that's it. Can't fault it!

Michaelas greeted us and was so friendly and engaging, and the rest of the team were so polite and nothing was too much trouble. We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade and the place, the setting and the view were all just fantastic.

Beautiful location overlooking the caldera. Excellent sized rooms with two bathrooms. The outdoor patio had spectacular views and the covered indoor spa pool was private and refreshing.

It was our second time at Altana, we stayed for our anniversary and had the best time. The rooms are beautiful, the breakfast is amazing, and the staff is exceptional. They were so kind, accommodating, and helpful. We can't wait to visit again!

If only there was a sink in the kitchenette are rather than washing cups in the bathroom. There was no TV but who would want one when they have the best view in the world! The WiFi can be weak sometimes but it was totally understandable due to the cavy design.

Absolutely everything! I have spent months searching for a hotel in Santorini to celebrate our 20th anniversary. This place have won my approval due to several aspect. First the location in Imerovigli wich is in the middle of Oia and Fira. It was quite and a the same time serviced with everything you need. Second, the view was breathtaking. From both sides you can see the white buildings and little rock scene. Another reason is the villa itself met my requirements such as the cavy interior (including the bathroom) some hotels have ordinary bathroom which reduces the island vibe- for me at least. The room was equipped with everything and the plunge pool was nice. The terrace was beautiful also. The breakfast was perfect with some Greek choices. The receptionist Mr. Micheal did us lots of favors in regards of guiding us through the city with generous clarifications and advice. Overall, thanks Altana for providing us with the best and most memorable experience in our lives.

Honestly, everything was lovely. Just keep in mind that the location is on a cliff, so there are quite a few steps to reach the property not ideal for someone with mobility issues. But for us, it was worth it for the view and experience!

The view was absolutely breathtaking it felt like a dream! The villa was spotless and beautifully decorated, with a perfect mix of elegance and authentic Greek charm. The staff were so warm and welcoming, always ready to help with anything. Watching the sunset from the terrace was one of the most magical moments of our trip. Highly recommend for couples or anyone looking for peace and beauty.

We had the best stay. Christos was just the most incredible host, spending so much time with us to help us plan our stay so we could see the best of the island. All the staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble, they just wanted you to have a great stay, and we did. Loved our room, had everything we needed and the beds were so comfy.

The view. Absolutely breathtaking, it was like a dream. Absolute perfection in terms of accommodation location and service. Breakfast was elite, brought to room every morning. Michael and co were great welcoming hosts. Superb service and we appreciated the effort it took to give us a later check out because our flight wasn't until 21:30. The location is between Fira (30minutes walk) and Oia (20 mins taxi)

If I could give 11 points, I would. It was the best stay of our lives. The location of the hotel is unique and they serve the best food on the island (trust us, we tried lots of restaurants), but what really made our stay so special was the hospitality of the owners. Their personalized care and recommendations are a treasure in today's fast-moving world, when tourists just come and go. Nothing - everything was brilliant.

Excellent location, stunning views and exceptional service. All staff were beyond helpful, really went out of their way to look after us and ensured everything was to our liking. A huge thanks to Michael in particular for going over and above, and for the excellent communication every day. Breakfast was amazing, delivered to our private terrace at a time of our choosing every morning. The bed was comfortable, and the room was more spacious than expected. Ideally located, not too busy and with very easy access to the busier towns of Fira and Oia.

Maybe provide a few more bottles of water. 1 on arrival is nice but water is cheap, it would be courteous to stock the rooms with 2-4 bottles a day i think. Just saves the hassle of walking to a nearby shop to but a bulk pack or worrying about asking for some at an extortionate price.

The staff at Altana were all the most incredibly lovely, welcoming and helpful people. So many fantastic recommendations to get amazing food without being ripped off or to avoid tourist trap spots

Nothing! We had a perfect stay.

Beautiful villa with one of the nicest views of the caldera and down to the south of Santorini. The room was stylish and comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast brought to us every morning. The plunge pool was really nice. We would highly recommend staying here in Imerovigli, it’s just as beautiful and not as busy as Oia. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. Our favourite meal was at the Altana restaurant, with great wine parings. Christos was an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble for him. He gave us excellent recommendations and arranged all of our transportation for us, including a hire car. He also called ahead and organised the wine tastings for us. We would highly recommend staying at Altana villas, Christos will look after you well.

Gorgeous view from the room!!! We were so happy everyday waking up to the view of the caldera. Very delicious bountiful breakfast on the balcony. Everything is so clean. Toiletries were great quality. All the staff were fantastic… which nowadays seems to be hard to come by so it was a very pleasant surprise and experience. Christos also has really interesting and helpful recommendations for things to do, see, and eat around the island. They actually care that you are having the best experience possible. Honestly, loved our stay there and would happily return. Recommending to all our family and friends!

NOTHING. It was perfect.

I stayed at Altana with my adult daughter and we had an absolutely amazing time. My husband and I stayed at Altana 31 years ago on our honeymoon before they expanded it, and I was excited to return and stay in their Villas. The property is now owned by the sons of the couple who owned it when I first visited and they have continued to create a paradise environment for their guests. From the minute we arrived and were greeted by the concierge Michael, we felt spoiled and pampered. Before we were shown our villa, Michael took the time to take our breakfast orders (for wonderful breakfasts delivered and set up for us each morning on our terrace), gave us a map of the island, explained the different village, beach, winery locations; transportations options to anywhere on the island (which Altana can arrange for you); recommendations on what to do and see on Santorini; restaurants to eat at, excursions to take, and much much more. We then were taken to our villa which was beautiful and had a spectacular view of the caldera. We had a plunge pool, lounge chairr/umbrella and breakfast table/chairs on our personal terrace. The interior was also fantastic -- with two full baths, a kitchen, living room with dining table/chairs and bedroom. Altana's location in Imerovigli is perfect. You can walk to Thera within 25 minutes, even take the cliffside hiking path all the way to Oia (although we took a cab arranged by Michael) and unlike Thera, Imerovigli is very quiet and does not have any crowds. We stayed for four nights, five days, and wished we could have stayed longer. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Altana. It should be your hotel destination of choice if you go to Santorini. Thank you to everyone at Altana for helping to make this a vacation we will never forget!
