Showers could be better. It would be nice to have some kind of breakfast provided as an option. Just to make life smother.

The staff were friendly and helpful. You can come and go as you like without any issues. Amazing location, lots of options on transport and easy access to the beach.

Bathroom- the toilet seat needs replacing and the shower base was small making it difficult to avoid water escaping the confines of the curtain

The pool is large enough to swim and well maintained The forecourt and bar/lounge area are beautiful.Pity the bar/lounge was always in darkness and the bar never open. The cleaning staff did a great job.

The room description is not fully accurate (no coffee machine, kettle, iron). We didn't need these, so no problem. The fridge was a freezer since the icebox door was missing. We were offered to change rooms because of this, but managed to fix the issue with a supermarket cooler bag instead. Towels were replaced on day 6.

Upon luggage drop-off, we were offered early check-in without extra charge, which was nice. The room was quiet and there was a big pool. Located very close to the beach and bus stops. Good wifi.

The hotel could maybe use a little renovation. They had a pool bar which was closed and looked a bit like it hadn’t been used since 80’s. But it’s a cheap hotel, so we did not expect more either. So for us it was great!

The place was quite nice! We had a little pool in the garden you could swim in. Room was clean! And the owner of the hotel was so sweet and helpful! The location was okay nothing much happened in the city and it was clear the restaurants were very touristy. We had a car though and it’s easy to drive to all the places in Chania from here! So I would recommend people living here to rent a car.

Manilos, Maria and family are so warm, helpful and welcoming. You can ask them anything. The property is very simple, and low key but comfortable and well positioned for the beach, public transport and Chania. There are restaurants, supermarkets and a bakery on the doorstep.

unfortunately the noise of the loud motors from the nearby street during the evening was disturbing when we kept the window open.

we had the option to choose between firm and soft mattress and we chose the firm one and it was great for our back. The fridge and the mirror in the room was helpful. The owner was helpful and kind and he even arranged our transfer to the hotel next door at his expense due to the renovation works in his hotel. We hope Alkion hotel will be beautiful after the renovation.

Alkion is modest, peaceful, cozily attractive, well kept ja clean hotel just few minutes walk away from the beach and bus stops. Pool area is private and sheltered by meters high oleanders. Our stay was at the end of the season, so hotel was very quiet and there was no breakfast available at the premises - not a problem ’cause water boiler & fridge in the room made it easy enough to have our own breakfast at the balcony (close by grocery store and cafeteria opened bright and early). Even tho’ staff wasn’t at the premises all the time, manager was just phone call away and arrived to the reception on a short notice if needed. Please read until the very end: Because of our flight schedules our arrival/departing times were very late - just before midnight - we were able to pickup our room key & info conveniently from a lockbox outside the hotel main door and finalize our check-in in the morning after. With this in mind, we had also agreed on a late check-out at 6pm when leaving the last evening of our stay. Unfortunately our last day started to look pretty glooming… we were told the evening before that hotel will be closed in the morning (because of power & water had been preset to be cut off) and we would need to leave never mind the earlier agreement. Now… this is customer service: To honor our previous agreement, hotel manager arranged us a room for the day at the next door hotel for luggage keeping and showering before departure! Thank you Manolis for your quick thinking and exceptional service!!

Accommodation was very good and staff was also very nice and hospitable. There was only one problem with the shower which was solved immediately. I am very satisfied. There was also a parking place. You can also have breakfast nearby in a café for 6,50€. Everything was great there too. Thank you

The photos of the property on Booking have nothing to do with the room we stayed in. The beds and pillows were completely uncomfortable. I understand that we're talking about a 2-star hotel, but it was expensive for what it offered!

The hotel manager was such a kind , friendly and amazing person ,always happy to help and really approachable . The hotel itself was clean and a decent size , the rooms were good with aircon , fridge and desk. great location near the beach and lots of access to restaurants and bars . there is a bus route along the main road which gives great access to other areas on crete

For some reason we needed to change rooms, the second room was nothing close to the first one. We had a issue the air-condition not working almost at all, really old. The mattress was the worst at this room, we spend 2 nights with a baby not sleeping at all. The 3rd day the owner bought a new mattress and we had a dissent last night.
