The design is poorly made, the shower kept flooding because there was no shower door. The pool was smaller than expected.

The cleaning was very high maintenance and the hotel was very big and clean.

You need to consider either renting a car/motorbike or using buses. I decided to walk from Fira on my first evening and it wasn’t a fun experience (the road is too long about 1 hour and it was kinda scary since there’s no side walk and it was way too dark) So I really recommend you to be aware of bus schedules and try to use them to have the best experience out of this hotel!

The staff were so nice, they were helping me in any way they could. Everything was perfect and I hope to get back there again.

We missed a larger pool to sit around but our fault entirely. Nothing we did not like.

Taxis do not come to the hotel and the walk up (or down) is very steep to bus stops or the main road.

The location required a walk-around to get to the main road to catch a bus. It was not ideal, but I had to come up with some sort of critique. Honestly, this was a really nice place staffed with very helpful folks.

The staff are excellent and help you, a traveler, with transfer services, tips, etc. The rooms are clean as can be, cozy, and the showers were spacious (I’m a large man, and some European hotels are too small to be useful for me.).

If you want to be in the sightseeing areas it might not be the perfect place for you - but you can get around well with scooters / taxi etc. The taxis are generally quite expensive on the island (ca 30€ per ride even if it is a short ride of only 10 min)

Extremely friendly and helpful - we had some changes in our schedules (delayed flight, ferry canceled) and they were super flexible, kind and helped us to figure out everything. Very good value for the price, which is definitely one of the hotel’s core strengths - and actually the location in the middle of Santorini is great if you want to discover both parts of the island - the village is not a sightseeing spot (which can also be nice to avoid tourist masses and are okay to stay a bit outside of the happenings- it depends on what you want). There is a great bakery a few mins away from the hotel where also locals go as well as fair car/moto rentals and a nice restaurant. We were happy with the place! Thanks to Katherina and the crew!

It is a bit far from town, but honestly, very good price compared with other accommodations

The staff were so hospitable and welcoming and had great recommendations about the area. We were able to rent a car through reception and the car was delivered directly to the hotel which was a great service. The rooms are very comfortable and the pool area is a nice place to relax. We were also able to order breakfast and drinks in the dining area. This hotel is not in Oia which made the area feel more relaxed, however if you want to visit it for sunset you can do so by bus or car.

The staff was very attentive. I really liked the service at reception and in the restaurant. The room had a bit of sand in the bathroom and was small, but overall everything was fine.

Everything!! The Aldea was perfect for my extended stay in Greece. Katarina the owner was absolutely amazing she even carried my luggage up to my room for me. The staff was amazing greeting me every day and making sure I didn’t need a thing, do yourself a favor and stay here.

Maybe the best vibe I have ever experienced in a hotel. The staff made me feel as if I was hosted by family or friends. Super clean, super calm and spacious. Both rooms and common spaces are decorated by amazing handcrafted wooden furniture. Beautiful view, fresh air and relaxing sounds at the balcony was the best way to start my day. I loved the cute swimming pools as well. A Perfect 10'!

No mosquito webs - not a big issue, as the air conditioning was good, but I would prefer not to switch it on during nights.

Everything at Aldea was just amazing - the room and the terrace, the pool and the shades, the personnel, cleanliness, location, breakfast. Thank you for the amazing experience, we will be back one day!

Pool can be a little bit cleaner.

The place is nice and very clean and staff are really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our interactions with all of them very much. Rooms and bed are a good size. Pool is a quite small but given it was not too busy, it was still nice and fairly private. Breakfast is very good and the terrace where we had it has a nice view. You can add few additional items for a fee if you want but it’s already plenty of food included. Locations is very good for the price. From the airport you can get the bus that takes you about 5 minutes from the hotel for 2 euros (cash only). To Thira it’s about 15 minutes walk , mostly uphill on the way there - it was a very nice walk there for us but I can imagine it may be difficult if weather is very hot.

Property was just as pixtured clean, bright and light. The location is amazing 20 minute walk the Fira into the crowds or you can stay with the locals where you dont hear any cars.

The hotel room was Clean and quiet, not far from main attractions . We walked to Fira every day for sightseeing and bus transportation. Owner Katerina is very welcoming and treated us like a family, her warm welcome made our stay extra special, we will definitely choose this hotel again. Bus stop , bakery,restaurant and supermarket were all within walking distance. Have a lovely view from rooftop terrace. We really enjoyed our conversation with Katerina and she answered many questions about life on the island. Highly recommended!!
