Up until a week before traveling to Kefalonia, I had two hotels booked and wasn’t sure which to choose. I’m so glad I went with Aggelos—it couldn’t have been a better decision. The location is excellent: close enough to walk into the center, yet far enough to be peaceful. It’s a family-run hotel, and you can really feel the effort they put into making guests feel welcome. Breakfast was simple but did the job. On my first day back from an afternoon walk, they left cookies in my room, which was such a thoughtful touch. They also kindly offered me a late check-out due to my evening flight and kept my bags until mid-afternoon. This hotel deserves more than its two-star rating. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kefalonia.

Lack of dietary options at breakfast

Had a room on the front with a gorgeous view of the water. The location is ideal in my opinion because it’s still well within the centre of town and walking distance to all the restaurants etc but slightly out of the busier section where people are fighting for car parks and space on the road. It was quiet, super clean and the staff always greeted me when I came back to the hotel. Included continental breakfast with lots of pastries and fruit, unfortunately no gluten free options and the server looked at me like I was an alien when I asked if they had gluten free bread. However, I think for people without dietary restrictions it would have been a very sufficient breakfast. The bathroom was newly renovated and had great water pressure. 100% would stay again

There isn’t a lift - this was not a problem for my Mum as the hotel very kindly gave her a ground floor room which she loved (with a sea view!) but less mobile visitors would need to bear this in mind.

Very clean and comfortable hotel in a great location - views across the bay, a gentle level stroll into the town but just far enough away from all the hustle and bustle so noise not an issue. All the staff are super friendly, welcoming and helpful and made my mother’s stay a real pleasure, thank you.

Nothing. Just 2 very small suggestions for the hotel - could you put a shelf above the sink in the bathroom for putting things on, and a couple more sockets in the room would have been useful.

The hotel was in an excellent location overlooking the water on the edge of town, within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants but away from the crowds. It had a lovely atmosphere, everyone working there was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, there was a really good choice. The room (superior sea view) was spacious and comfortable and had a small balcony with a great view.

The rooms were very small, lack of plug sockets (2 & one of those was for the fridge). Our fridge didn’t work until the day we left & the AC was old & didn’t work

Good location- not at the noisy center, but very close. nice room, coffee making facilities, very clean. I got a room with small balcony facing the sea- wonderful. The owner is very nice and service oriented. Very good breakfast.

The bed was very hard, which would be find if you're in your 20's but was a but trickier for us.

The location was absolutely fantastic, and the staf were lovely. Great breakfast every morning.

The beds were atrocious, the room was cramped for 2 people, the closet was unusable. No room for suitcases and the drainage in the shower was inappropriate. Large selection of products at breakfast but most choices were dried out.

The view from our balcony was stunning, the location very convenient. The staff was accommodating.

The rooms were small and at a cost of £185 per night, I would have expected it to be higher spec. but the beds were wonderfully comfortable and aircon good.

The location of this hotel was excellent and the view from the balcony superb. It was a bit of a climb to the top floor as there is no lift. The breakfast was excellent and we were able to eat this outside on the front terrace of the hotel.
