How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewLocation is perfect. room was suitable for 2-3 people and had a balcony. the private beach is great, however sometimes not free sun beds and umbrellas. Staff was helpful and reactive to our requirements - appreciated.
Breakfast reminds me of the all inclusive resorts, people are grabbing food as there is no tomorrow, therefore to get a fruits was impossible mission. A little bit disappointed by this in the morning. Beach bar a little bit more expensive compared to other beach bars (approximately 20%). the hotel during our stay (august 2025) is under reconstruction and has no availability of spa, limited offer of services and assuming not fully occupied.

Verified reviewThere is an option for a half board option to choose between lunch or dinner. Beach service is excellent, for beach you should use beach shoes since there is no sand only volcanic black stones. Car is a must if you want to explore the island.
The breakfast could be more diverse because of kids.

Verified reviewThe location on Kamari Beach was excellent. I also liked that the bus schedule for Kamari to Fira was posted in the lobby. I didn’t use the pools on site as I spent most of the time in the beach beds at the beach. Would stay again!
The A/C in my room wasn’t super strong and made a bit of noise at night. It’s not super modern, more rustic yet charming. I also didn’t really like the breakfast - bit of random taste. They could use more staff working the beach cabanas; a few times I had to go all the way to the post to order.

Verified reviewthe hotel is very close to the beach. The Bubba bar is great, with fresh dishes and good variety of plates. Umbrella and sunbeds are very confortable. Great service is Shower room that give you the opportunity to enjoy the last hours of your vacation after check out.

Verified reviewPerfect location right on the beach, lots of great restaurants around and a bus stop only around 15 minutes walk away. The reception staff were also extremely helpful with arranging transport and tours around the island.
Again great hotel but I’d maybe say the room was a bit cramped and the bed being 2 single beds wasn’t ideal. I also think they could maybe do with some more staff on the bar at the beach side as sometimes wait times were maybe 20/25 mins for 2 drinks.

Sadly after we checked in and I inquired about their spa opening times, they informed me it was closed for maintenance. My friend and I were upset as the hotel is a spa hotel and it was the reason we booked this specific hotel. As there are many great hotels that are far cheaper on the beach front that don’t have spa facilities. I informed the receptionist that this was the reason we booked this hotel and that they hadn’t informed us it was closed and had we know we would have gone somewhere else. He shrugged his shoulders and said it’s closed for maintenance. However when I went to go look at the spa area the water was still running and there were no maintenance works happening. I told them they should have updated the website stating it was closed and again he just stared at me saying it was closed. They didn’t offer any upgrades or even apologise. Another guest told me she was asked to pay for an upgrade if she wanted a jacuzzi room for the last night of her stay. Other than this the breakfast staff were fantastic and friendly. The cleaning ladies cleaned everything top to toe every day. The hotel rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade.

Great staff although cleaning lost some of our child's muslin cloths as they were in were in the bed when changed them. They also couldn't tell us till 11am on the day of checkout if we could have late checkout (checkout is at 11am) so bit of a pain. Beds aren't the most comfortable either.
