I didn’t like the fact that pool was heated and would have preferred it cool. It’s only heated at night however still felt in the noon. Also as a vegan the hotel breakfast did not have many options.. though the breakfast was full and great.

The pool next to the room was amazing, it had a great view and was all we needed. The staff was also great and welcoming. The hotel location was very close to the airport and few minutes drive from some great beaches which are family friendly.

Access to the property was only made possible by renting a car. There are other options but they didn’t make much sense. It’s near to the airport but far away from the sites of Santorini requiring further transportation.

In terms of the not so positive, I struggle to see how this is a 5 star hotel in relation to the service. On arrival my husband wanted cold water (they provided a bottle of water, however this was outside the fridge) and it was 28 degrees and we just arrived tired from the airport. At the bar they said he had to buy the cold water, he then spoke to the lady in reception who said the same, so he asked to speak to the manager who was unreachable and never showed up. My husband asked for ice and they agreed, but we feel like if we are spending thousand of pounds in a 5 star hotel and you just arrived from the airport they should be able to give you cold water or at least present you with the option of the ice (it is not a big ask). The receptionist didn’t know how to handle the situation. This is very unusual, we have been to 4 different Greek islands and what we love the most is the Greek service. Also, when we have stayed in 5 stars hotels in the past they greet you with water, a glass of champagne, a Greek delight/treat or some wet towels to clean yourself and refresh from the airport and the heat, this wasn’t the case at all. On one occasion we asked for ice to be sent to the room, this never arrived. On a different occasion we only received one set of knife and fork with the breakfast, we called for another set to be sent to the room which didn’t arrive either. My husband had to eat his breakfast with a spoon. We then raised these two occasions in reception, they apologised. Another thing to mention is that there was no mini bar, there was a fridge but nothing in it which again it is strange for a 5 stars hotel. When you go on their website, they advertise an amazing gym and luxurious spa, this couldn’t be further from the truth. There was no spa at all, it is being built which is fair enough, but please let us know because this was massive for us. We love to use the steam room, sauna and have massages in our holidays.

We stayed here from 07/06 to 14/06 for our first wedding anniversary. In terms of the positives, the hotel is stunning and relaxing, modern and rustic right in front of the sea so you can hear the waves at night. The view is spectacular and the pool area is super nice, with a beautiful infinity pool. The staff is friendly, especially the lady in reception in the afternoon/night shift and the guy who brings your breakfast into the room. They sent us flowers with a card for our anniversary which was a nice gesture. Location is really good if you rent a car (we did) about 8 minutes driving into Fira town centre and 20 minutes to Oia. Otherwise, taxis are very expensive and there is nothing to do in the hotel area as it is quite secluded. The hotel and rooms are immaculate clean. We stayed in the Royal Suite sea view and it was gorgeous and spacious along with a big terrace and hot tub.

We had a dream stay at Aelia Thalassa! The hotel is truly five star in everything: from the fantastic location with stunning views, to the luxurious facilities and the thoughtful aesthetics. The staff was extremely kind and eager to serve our every need with a smile. The restaurant impressed us with the flavors and quality of the food – every meal was a special experience. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

Nothing in particular but the shower / bathroom drains sometimes got blocked while having a shower so overflowed.

The property was overall very clean, modern and very well facilitated. The staff were very friendly and customer service was absolutely amazing!

As with any new establishment, not everything is working perfectly so there were a few small things that were missed, e.g. the tv was not connected to the internet. Otherwise I still enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is brand new so everything is in great condition. The view from the sea-facing room was picturesque. The staff were friendly and responsive. I loved the option of enjoying their amazing breakfast spready in my room, it gave a personal touch to my stay.

Everything was wonderful!!

The breakfast was wonderful, very rich and delicious. The staff was incredibly helpful and polite. The facilities were amazing—the gym was excellent, with brand-new equipment and very clean. The spa was absolutely relaxing. The room was fantastic, with a sea view, a private jacuzzi, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The main pool was huge, very clean, and uniquely designed. Everything was well-maintained. The owner was present, kindly asking if we needed anything and immediately providing it. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, and I had an amazing time. I highly recommend visiting this place. Everything was truly wonderful—thank you so much!

Booked a honeymoon room several months ago with private pool and was downgraded without any previous information or warnig. No more private pool, only a hot bath with a small terrace. The room was bigger according to them but why they didn’t warn me that my room was given to someone else? Something else: the is near to the airport flight line, so you hear them every 20-30mins (not during nights fortunately)
