The private terrace and hot tub with view on the sunset is very romantic and was for us the main reason to book the hotel. However in our 3 days here there were a couple of tourists who just ignore the rules and go stand in places they are not allowed to stand (on the roofs of the hotels). This allows them to basically look straight in your private terrace and disrupt the mood (in our case one drunk american group even asked if they could jump in our hot-tub while we were having a romantic dinner). This is probably an issue for all the hotels here on the cliff side of Imerovigli, not specific to Abyssanto. Theres also not a lot they can do to stop it, because the tourists are always different people and they never stay long. (a few minutes max)

Amazing view and amazing staff! Felt like you were treated as royalty during the stay. Great food and cocktails as well. Lovely room, would certainly come back here if I ever visit Santorini again!

Breathtaking views on top of the Caldera. Very clean, very friendly staff. Exceptional and personal service. Very generous and great facilities, fresh towels , linen, robes every day. Thoroughly recommend you take up the private tour provided by Abyssanto, best way to see all of the island highlights in one day . It finishes at Oia with a magnificent sunset. The sunset from the suites are also spectacular, and each suite has its own private spa. So lovely. Tge breakfast is also very generous and inclusive, lots of food and fruit , sets you up for a great day. Panayiotis and his staff were awesome. We would come back here in a heartbeat. The highlight of our honeymoon trip to Greece. We thoroughly recommend this place to all. 10 out of 10.

What a beautiful experience we had here! Panagiotis and the whole team provided us with exceptional service and care. We were celebrating a special birthday, so they worked with me to prepare a fab surprise for my partner - our suite decorated, and a delicious romantic sunset dinner overlooking the caldera complete with cake ❤️ It was perfect. Personal, engaging and warm hosts, they took great care of us and were ready to arrange tours, transfers, give advice on local highlights. Delicious breakfasts to start our full active days - wow! Room was cool and relaxing, we had our own jacuzzi and the best view of the caldera to enjoy the magnificent evening sunsets! Thank you.

Everything is immaculate.

Abyssanto is located at a prime location in Imerovigli. the views from each room are breathtaking! The expanse of sea onlooking the sunset and Oia in the backdrop is just phenomenal. Skaros rock is in proximity and so is Fira which makes local sightseeing a breeze. The property is well maintained and is pristine white. Suites are caves which are romantic and cosy! The private jacuzzi facing the sunset is a delightful experience! the breakfast spread is wonderful too.

it was cold but not anything that the resort could do about that. That was all mother nature. There was not one thing that we didn't like.

Breakfast was fantastic. Mr. P was most accommodating and as polite and nice as possible. Location was key. One of the best places we've ever stayed.

Check in time was moved to 15:00 due to Covid. However at the time of booking (January 2022) it was advertised at 14:00 which is a bit misleading. It would have been nice to have been warned about this in advance rather than on the day of our arrival as we had to change clothes and prepare for a boat trip that day and were on a tight schedule. Had we known earlier we would have booked the boat trip on a different day to avoid having to check in much later when we were tired. Also as noted below the hot tub was not hot enough to stay in the pool for very long after the sun had gone down although we did enjoy it greatly earlier in the day and for sunset. We asked for this to be turned up several times during our stay but did not notice a significant difference. This was slightly disappointing especially as other Santorini hotels we have stayed at in the past have had Jacuzzis much warmer.

The sunset view from our balcony was absolutely fantastic - the absolute best Caldera view we have seen in all of Santorini with an uninterrupted view of the sunset away from the hustle and bustle. It was very romantic! The room was a great size and spacious with coloured mood lighting and the outdoor area was private. It was a lovely touch that the staff left some flowers and petals on the bed for our honeymoon! Breakfast on our balcony was absolutely amazing! The best we have had in Santorini! The mini bar was very reasonably priced and the hotel has fantastic transfer/taxi service which we used several times to get around. The hotub was spacious and brilliant for watching the sunset although a bit too cold for extended nightime use as noted above. Overall I would still highly recommend this hotel!

On the first day, we barely slept ( maybe max 2 hrs) because of the terrible dip in the mattress which was sinking and thought it was a sagging matress. I even prefered to sleep on the floor than on that mattress. On complaining the next day, the staff (cleaning lady) was prompt to react and we discovered there was a quick fix as it was not the mattress sagging, but instead wooden planks below the mattress which was moved and hence causing that dip. I would recommend you to check the mattress first when checking in. The bathroom was also very small and water would spread everywhere when taking a bath.

The great view of the caldera is the main strength of the hotel. The staff were also always willing to help and nothing was too much for them. Breakfast was served in front of your room and was massive and very good.

The room is basic, small bed, tough mattress, old small tv, the bathroom is small and the water is not always warm/hot. Location: although the view from hotel is nice, basically you don't have anything around. You need to take a taxi to Oia, Kamari, Fira etc. No late check-out accepted.

The view: I think everyone who's going to Santorini is looking for the view and nice pictures that you see on internet. You have it from this hotel + full sunset. Beautiful. The view from any room is amazing. Breakfast: the breakfast in the morning is good. Staff: the staff was nice with us. Extra: The hotel can offer a airport transfer in a nice van which btw is the same price as a normal taxi. I would recommend it.

As it was posted 24 hour reception when booking (and for the price it should be), we were in a very upset state to arrive at 4am and find no one would even let us inside the gate!! - We had planned to drop off our luggage and go on a sunrise 4 hour hike and spend the afternoon in Oia. The employees we got ahold of were incredibly rude and unhelpful - literally yelled at us that we had to notify them in advance for 24 hour reception. fair enough but they literally screamed at us and left us locked out and stranded at 4am!!!! absolutely unbelievable for the price and quality is this kind of hotel. Huge disappointment and sour start to a celebration weekend. thankfully, one of the hotels across the street was kind enough to help us and take our luggage - Gold Suites (highly recommend, so friendly and helpful to us while stranded). In addition we were extremely unimpressed with the rooms as they were small and not very comfortable. not even water included. The hot tub is also not as pictured, it is literally connected to the neighboring hot tub so don’t expect romantic privacy which is what appears advertised.

The views from the main lounge area and pool are absolutely spectacular. Unfortunately, the only highlight of our trip here.

The sunset view was amazing from the hotel balcony and jacuzzi. We enjoyed the privacy a lot. The staff was exceptionably great and very friendly. This was an amazing experience.
