How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location was nice.
The room was very disappointing. I booked a room on the 1st floor, as shown in the pictures, but was given one on the ground floor with no private terrace, which was also advertised in the photos. The condition of the room was quite poor. It was extremely old and, more importantly, not maintained at all. The bathroom had rust, and it was obvious that the owners make little to no effort to keep the accommodation in good condition. The furniture and equipment, like the closet and kitchen, seemed to be from the 1970s. Cleanliness was average — not super dirty, not clean either. With such an old apartment, unless it is cleaned thoroughly, it never really feels clean. On the positive side, the bed mattress was okay. I did not meet the owner personally, but my friend did and said she was nice. If the price is very cheap, it might be acceptable, but otherwise, the quality is far below expectations.

Verified reviewLovely clean apartments with fridge and hot plate for cooking. Katerina and her husband were very kind and helpful and ensured my stay was enjoyable and comfortable. Bottle of water in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. Location is a little out of Kalamaki but close enough to walk in. Balcony was nice to sit on during the evening.
A little traffic noise but this is no fault of the hosts and it was bearable.

Verified reviewThe hospitability of the owner is just extraordinary. The location of the apartment is very good. It is close to one of the best restaurants in Kalamaki so you don't need to worry about cooking. The area is quite calm and close enough to different services like car rentals, souvenir shops, bus stop etc. Also the cleaning of the apartment is very frequent which is very useful if you decide to stay longer.
The apartment needs renovation because the furniture is dated. Also the light in the bathroom is too dark. The kitchen equipment is very simple if you decide to cook on your own.

Verified reviewThe apartmemt was clean and well-equipped. Katerina left us a bottle of water and shampoo bottles with towels. We were satisfied with the service- full room clean every 2-3 days which was amazing. The Kalamaki main road is about 10 minutes to reach by walk and there is no noise in night. You can also park here. Very recommend!

Verified review- Beautiful room, nice design - Balcony - Windows
- No electricity or warer in the morning - Water was used from a reserve of saltwater I think because the water was very salty, it is not really amazing to come back from a whole day of swimming in saltwater to a salty shower - Bed was not very comfortable, had a hard mattress

Verified reviewQuiet position a bit away from Kalamaki main street, nice balcony, well kept/cleaned and had a small kitchen with everything we needed.
Perhaps it would have been nice to meet the staff/hosts when we checked in. Otherwise everything was good.

Verified reviewEverything was clean, the host was very kind. Lovely view of old olive trees.
We had a little trouble sleeping in the night, because of the noise from the street, but perhaps we’re just sensitive sleepers..

Verified reviewBeing owned and ran by a local it gave it a nice homely vibe. You are made to feel welcome and that if you need anything can ask. They have a freezing bottle of water waiting for you which you was perfect just after landing. They fully clean for you which I wasn’t expecting being an apartment, floors get moped, bathroom cleaned. Bed sheets changed and toilet roll and toiletries. Also as I was working from home on my laptop the Wi-Fi was good and location was perfect close enough to go out when wanted but also enough away to be in peace
One thing but wasn’t the owners fault at all is that I get bit more than most other people by mosquitoes so remember if you get targeted more too by the plug ins to stop that.

Verified reviewEverything was fantastic, clean, functional. Mrs. Katerina waited us as per previously estimated time of arrival. She even prepared a bottle of drinkable water for us. The room was cleaned once per 2-3 days which was fantastic. There also were prepared small bottles with shampoo and soap so we had time to buy our own. Location was very good. Speed of fan was adjustable. We also had an option to cook our own food (which we didn't use). There was a fridge in a small kitchen right after the lockable door which was great.
The strange thing for us was that a light was on in hallway during the night. Maybe people with worse sleep could have issue to fall asleep.
