TAKI, our host was excellent! From arranging pick up at the airport to a porter meeting us to bring our luggage directly to the Captain’s house. Breakfast was such a pleasure to have right outside outdoor and the staff was super friendly and very very accommodating. They even made pancakes for our daughter.

The only issue is the shower. We didn’t stay many nights but we were afraid to take a shower since there was no shower curtain or shower glass door. In hindsight, we should have asked the host if it was ok.

One of the main spots where tourists take pictures is right outside the room, but it well separated with a wall and you don’t hear any sound inside

The corner where you enter the 1864 The Sea Captain’s House is literally where everybody goes to take pictures, however it has a door that gives you a private enjoyment of the place. You can’t get a better view to the Caldera. We booked the Venetian room that has a balcony with a beautiful view. If you want to have an unobstructed sight and a bigger space to enjoy, better book the Sailing room, it’s worth the extra amount to be paid. Takis helped us with every small question we had. Gave us very good food recommendations and how to move in the island. Thank you for a wonderful stay in such a demanding place.

A little inconvenience with the bath tub/ shower. But nothing that limited the enjoyment. Although a bit challenging for someone that has mobility problems.

Fabulous location. Beautiful apartment. Super hosts. Comfy beds. Breakfast was out of this world delicious, and served to us on our private patio!

Long lines of tourists in front of our apartment trying to take selfies, which is not the fault of the hotel, but a byproduct of being in the best location for viewing the blue roofs!

Everyone so nice

The room was spacious and comfortable, the A/C worked well, the beds were very comfortable, breakfast was INCREDIBLE, Takis was extremely helpful and informative and the VIEW, you truly cannot beat the Caldera view. This is a prime location in Oia, your patio and view is private but if you peek over you can see tons of tourists taking pictures (and lining up) for a view that you can enjoy at your own pace during breakfast. They coordinated a taxi (which we paid for) from the airport, then someone from the hotel met us and we had to walk a bit to the hotel but it was a short/simple walk. Takis met us immediately and gave us a tour of our room and explained everything. He was helpful recommending restaurants and things to do. I reallycannot say enough positive things about this gorgeous historical building. Of note, we stayed in the Sailing Suite, our friends stayed in the Venetian Suite, these rooms share a patio to enjoy the view. Separate tables and stuff but if you don't know your neighbors just know that you will be sharing this space!

Great location. Great views. Nice breakfast. Friendly host. Need to be fit to walk up and down the steps as you approach the property. Porter was available when needed to help with our suitcases. Quiet and comfortable. A/c worked well. Four of us were very comfortable.

Because of the great location by the blue dome, you had a constant stream of tourists just outside the unit, but wasn’t really a big deal as you had a lot of privacy in the unit. Minor negative - we did see a few ants in the front room - management was responsive when we told them about it.

The shower was kind of hard to use and it was a bit of a trek to the swimming areas, but aside from that, it’s amazing and would recommend.

Best location in all of Santorini! Amazing hospitality, Taki was a great property manager and gave us the best recommendations for our stay. Room exceeded expectations!

Breakfast was excellent and location was good
