Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaThe room I booked with a king size bed had a flooding issue that the technician couldn't solve so they moved us to a room with two beds, which wasn't ok for us but we have no choice. They should upgrade us instead of downgrading with no compensation. It was stated in Booking that the room is with a balcony - there wasn't any.
Nice hotel just on the beach with wonderful sea views, surrounded by wildlife - plenty of vegetation, iguanas, pelicans and other tropical birds. The breakfast was very good with an option to make freshly squeezed juice by your choice. The staff is very kind and friendly. The cleaning was excellent.

LuxembourgThe room and its lack of quality in decoration, the bathroom which needs a serious overhaul, a broken shower-head with very poor/low water pressure, a towel rack which is placed in such an obstructive way that you need to be careful not to hurt yourself getting in/out of the shower/bath, no cup or other shell/soap holder to leave a used hand soap, means that thing is floating all the time around on your wash table which is annoying. A sliding door to get in/out of the bathroom for which you need 2 hands and force to be able to open and close that thing, making a rather loud noise when you open or close it, which is disturbing if used during nighttime… Seems the hotel maintenance team has not heard yet of lubricants like WD40 which could already make things less noisy and fluid… Next to this we had a broken toilet seat which also made a cracking noise, The bed and especially the matras was OK, but not great either.. The best of the best is/was the fact that you stay in a 4 star hotel where the water is not potable so you depend on bottled water, but guess what… the bottle you find in the room when you arrive is the only one you get free of charge, any bottle after will cost another Eur.4,- per bottle which is just outrageous, water should be free of charge and simple be included in the service of 5e room.. they may limit this to a bottle per day, but having to pay extra for this water supply is absolutely scandalous. I’ve travelled a lot for my work and stayed in many hotels around the World, but paying extra for bottled water in 4 star hotels never happened to me before. Our overall impression of this hotel is that it is a nice hotel but over-priced and the value for what you pay and what you get is definitely not aligned.! most likely it has deserved its 4 star rating for to its beachfront location and lounge/bar + swimming pool but the quality of the rooms is no more then 3 stars .. at best..!
It’s location with swimming pool and private beach, the large breakfast variety with outdoor terrace and the friendly staff.

Romaniathe cleanliness could have been much better, a bit of handiwork on the bathroom would help as the bath battery was falling and also hot water was sometimes lacking.
Our family room had a wonderful private terrace with an amazing view.

AustraliaThere are no coffee or tea-making facilities in the rooms. For the price you pay, it is a facility one would expect.
The location was lovely and the complex is secure. The breakfast was good and diverse. Espace Créole (the excursion concierge) was very helpful.

GermanyThe room was large and comfy, but the balcony was just tiny, you cannot sit outside, just stand. However, my room was on the second floor, so I tried out to be brave and opened the sliding glass doors in the evening and turned the aircon to fan-only mode. Voilà, no mosquitos. The warm water pressure was gone when I returned in the evening and wanted to have a shower. I called the reception, they explained to me I need to let the water run for a while, then it normalises. But, it barely did. I believe the central water boiler cannot keep up with most guests taking a shower before going to the restaurant. Recommending to let the water run would makes this problem just worse, obviously. I got multiple fraudulent/phishing messages/emails from the hotel (forwarded by Booking.com), so be careful and ask whether a message is legitimate (I also reported this to Booking.com). The mattress was too soft for me. The air conditioning system has a low frequency humming, even if you turn it off for your room, and the fan in the bathroom runs constantly and is very noisy. The safety deposit box doesn't fit a laptop.
I had a short stay at the end of my vacation. I cannot second some of the negative reviews of the staff—everyone was always welcoming, polite, helpful and put on a big smile. I don't speak French, most of the staff speak poor English, which at times leads to confusion, but this was never a serious problem. Quite the contrary, I asked whether I could have an exceptional early breakfast at 5:45, this was possible and I was really glad to get a quick bite before leaving early. I can highly recommend the Le Zawag restaurant, the suggestion du chef (Thazard) was a dream, the best dinner I had in Guadeloupe. The hotel is in front of a small bay (kind of private to the hotel), with very shallow water, so you need to swim a bit until it gets deeper. The bay is guarded by a breakwater pier, so high waves don't affect the bay so much. The beach has nice white sand and a lot of sunbeds (you can also rent a jetski). You can see pelicans flying over you and also encounter a green iguana or a hermit crab. The breakfast buffet was rich and had also some local specialities.

United StatesThe hotel facilities showed signs of wear and tear. While they were functional, it was clear that they could use some attention to match the standards of other four-star establishments. Whether it was the furnishings, decor, or the conditions of areas like the pool and bathrooms, there was a noticeable need for renovation to uphold the hotel's reputation. Despite these observations, the exceptional service from the staff managed to outweigh any shortcomings in the facilities. Their impeccable service ensured that our overall experience remained positive and enjoyable. Looking forward, we hope that the management considers investing in upgrades to advance the overall guest experience.
The exceptional staff at the hotel made our vacation truly special. Their dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was remarkable. Their friendly demeanor and attentiveness made us feel valued as guests.

CanadaUnfortunately we had NO WATER for my 8 days out of 10!! Not their fault obviously … but updates were sparse and not encouraging . My compensation of 103 euros was about 3.4 % of my total room cost. There was hardly any entertainment and the only restaurant open was the buffet for dinners . Second restaurant closed because of the water problem.
The environment, the friendly staff, the room location ( overlooking the sunset ) in a magnificent garden.

SwitzerlandThe whole facility is nice but not overwhelmingly so to justify the rather high price. The area outside the hotel is a rather dull parking next to the Casino which is not exactly the best corner of Guadeloupe.
Nice hotel, close to the airport but still enough outside the city to have a nice clean beach nearby. Breakfast started at 6:00 which allowed use to profit from the jet lag. Nice common areas. Nice sea view from the selected room. Private hotel beach small but nice. Large enough facility to not be too crowded despite being fully booked.

Polandloved the animal friendly approach. There were many cats, kittens and chickens on the restaurant floor. it’s super cute, but you have to remember that chicken use the toilet when they feel like it - sometimes it means on the restaurant floor. It is not really what you want to see smell and step on during your breakfast.
Beautiful beach, very comfortable beach chairs. Staff is friendly and helpful. Oh, and the most delicious breakfasts!
