Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe location is an up-hill 15 min walk from the town center, you will need a taxi. The economy room is too small and not comfortable (the standard room is fine). Also you might have a surprise charge if you did not pay for breakfast in advance (50GEL per-person per-day - more than twice than what you would pay on-line).
All rooms face the mountains and have a gorgeous view. There is a large terrace where you can sit and enjoy your meals or just chill, and they provide blankets when it gets cold. The food was good!

IsraelThe location is far from the town center, you will probably need a taxi to get to the supermarket and nearby locations. The economy room is small and uncomfortable (the standard room is fine). Also if you did not pay for breakfast when you reserved on-line, they will charge you 50GEL per-person per-day(!) - more than twice than what you would pay on line (you will discover it when you check out). The pool is small, but still nice to have.
The view of the mountains is just breathtaking. There is a spacious terrace where you can sit and enjoy your meals or just chill, and they provide blankets when it gets cold. The food was good! It is walking distance to a few other hotels on the same altitude (including Rooms hotel) which offer other dining options. All rooms face the mountains and have a gorgeous view.

Serbiaonly downsides: the wifi is very slow, and the access road from the main street is rough. not the hotel’s fault ofc, it’s up to the local authorities, but if you’re driving a car with low clearance, it might be tricky getting up there. still, overall a very good experience and would stay again.
it’s a great place to stay. the hosts were very friendly and helpful, and there’s a laundry service available for 10 GEL per bag, which was super convenient. the room was clean and the view from the property is fantastic.

LithuaniaIf you’re looking for a place to enjoy the beauty of Kazbek, relax in tranquility, and experience true comfort, Step Inn – Kazbegi is the perfect choice.
We spent one night at Step Inn – Kazbegi in Stepantsminda, and it exceeded all our expectations. The location is simply perfect – set slightly away from the main road, right at the foot of the mountains, offering peace, quiet, and absolutely breathtaking views of Mount Kazbek. From the panoramic windows of our spacious, bright room, we could admire the majestic mountain scenery for hours, especially during sunrise and sunset. Breakfast deserves special praise – fresh, delicious, and varied, clearly prepared with care. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, homely atmosphere and always ready to help with anything we needed.

BelarusWe stayed here for one night, and check-in went smoothly. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was generally clean, though the curtains were a bit dusty and there were some small insects, but nothing critical. The highlight was definitely the dinner — hearty, delicious, and easily the most soulful hotel dinner we’ve had. The atmosphere was made even better by the owners and their friends relaxing at the next table, playing guitar and singing. It felt like being among family. We were so comfortable that we completely forgot about the bill, and no one disturbed us with it until check-out, which was also handled with the same warmth and ease. If you come late to breakfast, the selection will be limited, and you might need to figure out where to make coffee or tea yourself. The pool didn’t look very fresh, though we didn’t use it. For the perfect mountain escape, an outdoor jacuzzi would be a dream addition.

GeorgiaThere isn’t a designated parking space and you have to find a spot in front of the hotel somewhere. Also, there isn’t much furniture on the second floor of the two storey room so if you’re staying upstairs, most of your items will have to go on the floor.
Lovely place to stay! Very nice staff, cute pool, delicious food and incredible views. Highly recommended.

AustriaThe only downside: we didn’t use the swimming pool – it felt more like a small indoor public pool with stuffy air, not really inviting to relax. Also, the extra charges for the sauna are quite high.
Breathtaking views of Mount Kazbek and the surrounding mountains. A cozy, family-like atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff is very friendly without being intrusive. The restaurant serves excellent food, especially the modern interpretations of traditional dishes. It’s clear that someone cooks here with real passion. A real highlight is the beautiful terrace – perfect for enjoying breakfast or an afternoon coffee. There was always enough space, never crowded.

RussiaAt the restaurant part of the ordered dish was missed once, but after pointing it out it was cooked and delivered later. Having an air-conditioner in the room would be nice, although it's not a huge problem if you open the balcony door for fresh air.
Great view from the 1st floor, which is right above the restaurant. Friendly staff. Enjoyable breakfast at mornings, which is fine for its price in our opinion. Swimming pool is ok, small, but there's usually not much guests at the pool's room. Room is good, soft bed, bed linen is clean. Bathroom has got all the necessary stuff. There is a road behind the hotel going to the Ioane Natlismcemeli church and if you get to it, there are paths deeper to the mountains where you can find Mountain walter streams and couple of waterfalls.

IsraelThe room labeled in Booking as "standard" is too basic.
The staff was extremely helpful and fair - when I didn't like the room I had chosen, they upgraded it without asking for an upgrade payment. They helped me with everything I asked for, more than I could expect.

SerbiaThe hotel is located a bit further from the center, so there's a 10-ish-15 minutes walk uphill to get to it. However, that makes the view from the hotel all the more spectacular. Worth every step! Absolutely recommend!
The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. We asked them if we could leave our luggage with them for a day, because we went camping for a day before staying with them, and they happily accepted storing our luggage for us. The rooms are very comfy, sparkly clean, with all necessary facilities, complimentary water bottles and tea. Bathroom shower is huge, and the view from the room is directly at the Gergety Trinity Church.

SloveniaI’m not sure the price-to-quality ratio is justified — for over €100 per night, you expect quite a bit more than what you get. Rooms are not automatically cleaned daily (beds aren’t made, towels aren’t changed, trash isn’t taken out, and toilet paper isn’t restocked). Only after we asked for toilet paper a second time were we finally asked if we wanted room cleaning — and this was on the evening before our departure. At breakfast, only filter coffee is included — espresso-based drinks like cappuccinos cost extra (€3 for a cappuccino). Also, the room wasn’t thoroughly clean — there were visible urine stains under the toilet seat (though perhaps we’re just being too picky). In the end, I’m really not sure the value matches the price — for the same amount, just a few meters away, you can rent an entire cottage, where you similarly won’t get daily cleaning or service.
The hotel is in an excellent location at the top of the village, offering a perfect view of the Gergeti Church and Mt. Kazbek from both the room and the beautiful balcony. The hotel has a very nice architectural design, and the room furnishings are also lovely. The staff is very friendly.

GermanyA bit upsetting was the set up of the family room. Family room a duplex room on two levels and the upper level is considered a master bedroom, there is windows in the roof which does not has shades. Hotel staff did their best to help us to create darkness, but in any case it meant that we were awake with first rays on sun early in the morning. Besides, family rooms at least on pictures had one of the best Mountain Views, but in reality in front the window and the terrace there are cottage houses, that close almost all the view. We were really sad to find that out. View from a cheaper standard room with a balcony was considerably better.
The hotel itself is very nice, clean, modern and beautiful, little swimming pool area was very pleasant. But the best part of this hotel is its employees!! The most helpful, friendly and supportive people! We felt like at home. Special enormous THANK YOU to Lika, hotel manager, and Nino, restaurant manager.
