As a seasoned traveller this was by far the worst reception I've ever had. The host was extremely rude and demanded cash immediately upon arrival. She handeled us like criminals. We considered cancelling but already paid what cash we had on us. Desite the rude host the stay was great!

We liked to be alone, not near other people, or in town. The view. The little house's layout is good!

It’s not in kazbegi town (which we knew when booking so not an issue really but good to know that you need a car to get to any shop / restaurant), no road to the house, bathroom was a bit smelly during rain.

Overall great experience and I would recommend this place. Very good value for money. Very cosy house, nice view from the window, nice balcony with seats to enjoy the view, small kitchenette so that you can prepare some basic meals, great contact with the owners.

The shower drain did not work well and flooded the whole bathroom. Very cheap polyester bedding, not comfortable at all.

A tiny house with a great view. Very cosy, not much room but ideal for a couple. There's pretty much all you need for a comfortable stay. The host is very warm and welcoming, the house is easy to find and the location is great.

There’s another A-frame house beside that you can’t see on the owner’s photos. That was unexpected, but ok during our stay, cause no one was renting that house. There’s a bathroom drain that doesn’t have partition. So when you take a shower the water goes all over the floor in the bathroom. And it was sewer smell in the bathroom also. We didn’t like to see cleaning rags and drying gloves in the bathroom. They could have been removed it somewhere.. It’s pretty cold in the mountains, so it would be nice to have some blankets to sit comfortably outside. There’s kitchenware, but there wasn’t a proper knife and cutting board to cut vegetables. (Although I loved high quality wine corkscrew!) The kitchenette is small, so it would be great idea to make shelves for the dishes (thereby making space on the cooking table). It would be nice to have small road to the house and a barbecue zone outside. There’s enough space to make it very cozy.

The location is amazing! You can see the beauty of mountains and horses/sheep on the fields right from your window (or a small terrace). It’s on a side of the village, so it’s pretty calm and quiet. Also it’s close to Kazbegi, where you can find shops. And from Gergeti nearby you can have an amazing hike right to the Trinity monastery and upper to Kazbek mountain. Also there’re waterfalls and beautiful gorges.

The bed was a complete disaster. Unless the host replies to this comment and says that this issue was solved, keep in mind that it is a major flaw. You simply cannot find a pose to rest because the metal springs in the matress are hurting all parts of your body: shoulders, ribs, pelvis, legs. When you finally find a sport that hurts less and fall asleep, a slight movement will again wake you up again. And it will repeat many times at night. All-in-all, a camping matt is gonna be more comfy than this bed. Also there is no heating in the cabin yet (probably they are about to install it as there are pipe outlets in place for that). Even though it was a summer time, this is 2000 m elevation and weather is chilly there. One night temperature was dropping way below 10 degrees and it became very uncomfortable inside as well. An electric heater could solve the issue but the host offered only a couple extra blankets.

The place is great overall if you a looking for a private house. It's a cabin wiith a small living room and tiny bedroom. All the amenities are provided including cooking oil, salt, pepper and sugar which is a great bonus. The living room is comfy enough for a couple. The host is also always reachable for any query. So if you are looking for a private cabin on a budget you can consider this option, but please read the cons first.
