Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceWhat do you need to know - it's a hostel with a lot of people (2 floors). So there could be an oppupied shower on the 1st floor. Also many people are living there permanently - it's not a tourist place. So the vibe is different. Facilities are old and not so clean.
Owner is nice and helpful, price is affordable. There is a private parking inside which you can use, but also it's possible to leave the car in the street.

CanadaI can't complain. It was perfectly decent. Bathroom door handle keeps popping off.
Isolda is very nice. She tried to communicate with me. Even though she speaks only German, Russian & Georgian. & has sought hearing disabilities. A few nights my dorm was empty; private room basically. Location is 10 minutes walk to the metro. Beautiful secluded garden on a hot day is very good. It mostly rained during my stay. Also a generous laundry service available. Quiet neighborhood. & safe.

PakistanI wish I was informed of the over booking beforehand so I could probably arrange something else for myself.
The guest house was overbooked, but the hostess still somehow arranged a place for me to sleep. Despite the language barrier, she did her best to help me out. Offered me amazing homemade food - for free :)

CanadaNo English speaking. No fan in the extremely hot room. Lots of mosquitoes. No sockets on each bed but only 1 cable for the entire room. Not a very clean and organized kitchen. Wall paint comes off onto your skin, clothes, bag or anything touched to the wall. Need to walk up the slope to get there from the main street. A little far from the metro and supermarkets.
Sorry but nothing. The price is fair but there is a 10x better hostel 10m away and it's a lot cheaper too. Also most of the hostels in the same price range are better even in the city center.

SpainIt is an old private guest house. A lot of things require renovation. We didn't use kitchen, but bathroom and bedroom are old and have a specific smell of old things. One power plug for the room with 4 beds.
It was good for one night stay on our way. Late night check-in. The place has a private parking for one car. The host is a very nice and friendly aged lady. We could leave the car safely and have a walk around the center of the city.

United Arab EmiratesVery difficult to communicate in English especially as the lady is a very bold and stubborn 85 year old. We waited there half an hour to meet the owner as she had been sleeping inside and it has been difficult to explain in English. We took around an hour to check in. She is a good lady in her own ways ofcourse but do not expect warm welcome etc. I read Americans and Canadians etc. praise the lady, Surely is a genuinely bold 85 year old running a business but this may not help the customer in the hospitality industry who is new to the place- we would expect a polite welcome and I trust language barrier plays a big part in it.Place is comfortable with warm water and a shared big kitchen but toilet is shared too. No staff apart from this lady so you need to do things and find out the stuff on your own.

CanadaA great place to stay for a great price! Although my father and I couldn’t spend the entire night there (we found a house to rent), the beds were extremely clean and the rooms were spacious. But best of all was the homeowner. She was an extremely kind and welcoming lady, who even offered everything in her garden to us. Greatly suggested!
