No tea making facilities in the room although you can make it in the bar area. Toilet and shower all very close to beds behind a sheet of frosted glass and a curtain! Confusing lighting and air con/heating system.

Good location, clean room, good breakfast. Very quick check in. Good wifi. Great shower.

Breakfast was not very nice and mostly unhealthy food. Pillows were hard but mattress was comfortable

Good location and clean rooms. We had a Premier King so was comfortable in relation to the size.. Reception staff were cold and not welcoming. Pillows were a bit hard so didn't have a good night sleep. Also you can hear noise in the corridors so it is not sound proof. Breakfast was very average. I would not recommend paying extra for breakfast. Better off going to the many local cafes

Overpriced due to the dynamic pricing for the festival. Breakfast quality of food was poor and we were better served outside the hotel

Sink blocked - why don't hotels just go around once a week & sort the blockages? Other issues v minor & design related: Lights over complicated. No bedside table/shelf.

Straight forward & quick check in.

Shower cubicle leaked and towel used to mop up was not replaced. Room rate was expensive but expected for this time of year

Great location in Edinburgh for our three day stay for the Fringe. Friendly staff and we were able to put our bags in our room on arrival. Room was ideal for what we needed. Lovely shops and restaurants within close proximity.

Shower spills a bit of water out the bottom of the door, no matter how hard you try not to.

Location was great, close enough to everything but also far enough away to not be too noisy. Rooms are small but well organized, free coffee machine in the bar.

We were placed in a basement room, which we later found out was located right below the breakfast room. If you are a light sleeper you will be woken by the noise of chairs scraping across the floor above your room, as breakfast begins at the Hotel. This started about 0730 in the morning. It happened on both mornings for the time we stayed. No tea or coffee in the Hotel room itself, but plenty available in the bar area.

Hotel in a decent location and fine for our needs.

Tea/coffee facilities. There really was so little to dislike, and we will be back.y

The Hotel was a first for us but will no doubt use it again. Staff were great and the Hotel, rooms etc was great. The only small criticism was due to lack of tea/coffee Facilities in room, (None) this meant using the Tea/coffee downstairs in bar area, brilliant but way too often we had to ask for cups etc, surely someone over seeing that area and topping up, cups, pie, coffee etc would have been great.

    • VIP King Suite View
    • Stayed 2 nights
    • Submitted via mobile

Lack of cooperation from the initial receptionists at check in. Asked for help signing in, but she pointed to the terminal and turned and walked away. Room number was then texted to you, but due to poor phone reception it took ages to get. Ended up snapping at receptionist to get the room number. We had a VIP Suite with view, the view was of air conditioning pipes and rooftops. Description said cooking facilities (none there). It had an empty fridge (no cans of pop or bottled water etc) and kettle (no milk pods to go with tea or coffee sachets). Remember this is supposed to be VIP. Ended up searching for a convenience store to buy milk. Lounge floor was stained and there were some food patches from previous occupants. Areas of the sofa also need a good clean as liquid stained. Being disabled the access ramp up to hotel entrance was much appreciated. On Friday there was an additional ramp up to the foyer. However this was removed on Saturday morning and stored away. This then made the rest of the stay very difficult and painful to enter and exit the property.

Location was good. Key system to operate the lift took a bit of getting used to, but the concept was good. The room size was amazing. Bedroom was brilliant.
