Cannot criticize much at all. Only problem we're stairs and steps down to the bathroom as I a have knee problem but that us personal to me Only other thing is a choice of tea bags would of been good. My partner and I are not a fan of Tetley tea. We could of brought our own Yorkshire Tea I guess.

The location was perfect just 10 minute walk from the metro station. The decor was amazing decorated to a very high spec. The hosts were welcoming. Michael helped with suitcase. The breakfast and shower were amazing! Plenty of choice at breakfast. Very quick service also.

Family run hotel, superb breakfast. We felt genuinely welcomed and enjoyed our brief stay with such lovely people. Great location and a short walk to the seafront and local restaurants. The room was very comfortable.and spotlessly clean.

Limited parking, but there is a car park neaby that is currently free for two hours and free in the evening during the period of check-in and check-out.

Would have preferred slightly earlier checkin. The property is situated next to a reasonably busy road. It was hot so we had to have windows open at night and it was quite noisy.

Our stay at York House was conveniently close to The Dome and the sea front. We were able to park on the hotel frontage. Our room was at the rear of the hotel so was quiet. Our bed was comfy. We enjoyed a good breakfast with the option of a cooked breakfast, and fresh fruits and yogurts.

There was nothing we did not like.

Mike was the perfect host. We made the booking last minute ,and as it was our 40th Wedding Anniversary we could not have wished for a nicer place to stay. Everything was perfect.

The host was extremely friendly and attentive, personally showed me to my room and got a fan for me as I was struggling to sleep in the heat. Room was very good size and had everything I needed, very comfy bed, lovely bathroom etc. Even had some little treats downstairs by the reception, I just wish I had time to stay for the breakfast before I checked out!

The toilet/shower squeezed into a corner gave rather limited manoeuvrability, but everything worked and the shower was gratifyingly powerful.

An amiable host (Michael) and a comfortable bed, and not too far from buses and Metro to get into central Newcastle-Gateshead, so ideal-ish for a one-night stay in order to attend a concert at The Glasshouse (necessitated by the lack of late train home on a Saturday!). Breakfast had wide-ranging possibilities.
