There wasn't a kettle in the room.

I liked that there were lots of facilities here such as a kitchen to cook, a games room and nice large outside space

Great youth hostel in a beautiful historic building, surrounded by a lot of free space. Great for trips into town (the water taxi was a fantastic tip, ask reception about it!), very friendly staff, well-equipped kitchen, good breakfast options. Also a suitable base for trips to the Northern Cotswolds, Birmingham, Warwick, Oxford.

There were spiders in the room, potentially due to open windows that were needed to be left open as we stayed there in the peak of one of the heat waves in summer.

    Very helpful staff. Well located.

What I didn't like was the rudeness and behavior of the previous guests. Specifically, outside my window, I could see trash thrown away by guests (socks, cosmetics packaging). Why do people have to behave in such a vulgar manner? The hotel's response exceeded my expectations.

This was my first time at this facility. I was very pleasantly surprised by the location and the entire building infrastructure. The friendly service and professionalism of all the employees ensure the highest level of service. My sons really enjoyed the surroundings. My younger son loves nature and could play among the trees in peace. My older son, on the other hand, praised the quality of the beds. He woke up in the morning and said he felt rested. This was the first time in nine days, during which we slept in different accommodations every day.

I'm struggling to think of something negative to add!

As a sole traveller, the welcome from staff was wonderful. There was no delay in one staff member ensured the room was ready whilst the other member signed me in. Plenty of room and plug sockets. The room was clean and aired. There is an area to conveniently refill water bottles. Will defiantly stay here again.

All the stairs (that's a luxury issue though). Also, the place is a bit far from the center of Stratford-upon-Avon.

It was SOOOO quiet in the room. This is the second time I've slept so soundly because the room is so quiet and relaxing. I forgot that there was lots of other people there. The staff is SUPER friendly, nice, and helpful. There's almost like a forest behind it. It's so beautiful and relaxing.

I hadn't realised that it would have been helpful to take a padlock with me for the locker. Likewise, a reminder to take a towel would have been good. The main problems were about the people staying, eg. I had two snorers in the room, so no chance of a good sleep! Do a swerve dive past the veggie sausages: yuk!

The staff were absolutely fabulous, very helpful and hardworking. The room was attractive. The shower was fine and clean. Breakfast was good.

The house could use some modernising but it is a wonderful old building. The dryer was broken so you could only air dry, which wasn't a problem to me but it might be for others who are on a tighter schedule.

Very friendly staff all around the house. The rooms were big enough and the outside is beautiful. I had the continental breakfast and there was plenty to choose from. I appreciate that you could open the window in the dorms to let in fresh air during the nights especially in summer.
