    Nothing

I really like the location as it's in central London, so everything is nearby. We could easily take the bus, underground, or trains. The room had a shared bathroom and toilet, but I must say they were nice and always clean. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

I didn't sleep at all because I could feel the springs through the base and it was incredibly uncomfortable.

Staff were really welcoming and told us everything we needed to know. The room was clean and tidy, as were the shared bathroom and toilet.

Unfortunately there was no wifi in the women's room on the lower level, which means you have to go to the common area to get wifi. The shower in the women's room would also get flooded constantly and the squeegee left for us would only push the water back towards the shower, but as there was a rim around the shower the water would just sit in a puddle around the rim. So maybe providing some extra rags to put around the shower would be useful.

Very friendly staff, 24 hour reception, fantastic location literally seconds from St. Paul's Cathedral and a 10-minute walk to the Globe Theater. Also nice to have a water bottle refill station and the room featured a really big locker where you could even fit your entire bag in.

Was put in a 10 bed dorm when I know for a fact I booked a 6 bed dorm. That's on booking.com in my opinion. You wee rap scallions!

The staff were just absolutely amazing and very patient with any issues that arose. Love that they give out much needed earplugs free of charge to block the sound of 'the bells' that chime every 15 minutes. All night long!

It’s fine- it’s a YHA. Always a little shabby - but I find that’s part of the appeal.

Super convenient and central location. Literally next door to St Paul’s cathedral, a two minute walk to The Millennium Bridge and the river, close to the Tate, The Globe, Borough Market etc. beer cans soft drinks can be bought at reception and there’s a vending machine for crisps and chocolates. You can buy a good breakfast - about £9.50 - or just go cheaper and have the croissants and toast option. The communal toilets and shower cubicles seemed clean and well maintained. We were a family of 4 with teens and literally only needed somewhere to sleep as we had so much to see and do in London- so why pay more! This is perfectly adequate

The floor in the hallway and some part of the room were squeaky. I ordered food and the delivery man was. It allowed to leave the food at the reception even though he could not reach me. I understand not wanting to put food from outside in the hostel refrigerator to prevent cross contamination but leaving food at the reception for residents should not be much of a problem

The toilets and bathrooms were clean

Didn't really get much info when checking in but I'm used to hostels so it wasn't a problem

Spacious rooms, high ceilings , really huge lockers made all the difference. Location excellent. Bit noisy with the window open but i loved hearing st paul's bells and general hustle and bustle.

The facilities are a bit tired and worn out, but it’s typical of a busy youth hostel. Overall very clean and well taken care of.

We stayed in the family room (room 4) which had a bunk bed (bottom double, upper single) which our 7 year old loved. It also had its own bathroom which was very clean and functional, just a little worn. We spent a very comfortable night but we were a bit disturbed by noises from the street (people talking, occasional vehicle). But the room is on a quiet street so the sound of the bells from St Paul’s wasn’t too bad. There are ear blockers available at reception if needed. Otherwise there is a canteen with breakfast and a comfortable communal space with sofas, Wi-Fi and a vending machine. Reception staff were lovely, and of course the location is unbeatable! And the free luggage space downstairs with free toilets was very convenient (there are also paid lockers for valuables). Overall we loved it!

Great, safe stay in the heart of it all

In our area of the hostel, there was only one water closet and one shower for approximately 16 people. This meant that you sometimes had to travel down a flight of stairs and through a few locked doors to use the bathroom. Not a huge deal, but it was a challenge at times. The courtyard area was locked up, and I was not able to get my card to access it.

This was my first hostel experience, and I would do it again based on this facility. Nice staff The building is old, but it is well-maintained and clean. We were able to store our luggage before checking into our beds later that afternoon. Lots of locked doors that required a key to access, so it felt very secure. The bunk room was as advertised. There was a fan in the room that kept air moving and added white noise. Two sinks were available. Lockers were large, and there was enough space for everyone in the room to stash their gear safely. I was able to buy a lock at the front desk since I had forgotten mine. Towels were available for rent. Fair price for very large towels. Large bottle filling station available. We did not purchase the breakfast, but it looked and smelled nice every morning as we walked through to leave our rooms. Wifi is only available in common spaces. Plan accordingly. Just around the corner from the Cathedral, so it is in the heart of central London. Easy walking to the Tube and all the attractions.

I had a great stay at YHA St Paul's while traveling alone. The dorm and commodities were really clean (shower and toilet were en-suite so that was a nice surprise), the bed was comfortable, the staff was really nice and the girls I met while staying were adorable! And of course, the location was ideal and very close to the city center. Altogether a great experience. Would definitely book again at this hostel!

I can only refer to the dorm. There are no facilities. You can't even use a kettle or microwave. This means you spend more money eating out 3x/day and buying tea/coffee. It's a choice to weigh up when making your plans, especially in colder weather. The room is partially under the main staircase, so when the place is overrun with school groups, there's a lot of stomping. Wifi kept cutting out downstairs. Upstairs you had the company of school kids. But that's the nature of a YHA and so the price matched the experience.

Amazing price for the location. Spacious room. Despite being downstairs, there was still plenty of natural light. The decor brought back memories of backpacking in the early 90s.
