Noisy guests in room above every night loud banging, heavy footed, squeaking floor boards, from late evening onwards! Long wait to be served evening meals.

Bathroom was tired, needs upgrading. Bed was probably heading towards the end of its life. Outdoor music started at 7.10am and woke us. Quickly rectified with a visit to the breakfast room, but was disappointed that happened two mornings consecutively.

Great location, very peaceful. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is very dog friendly. Good selection on breakfast menu.

I liked our room especially because we had a balcony with a table and chair so we could sit outside. It was very quiet, good for relaxing

Rooms very close to each other and you could hear every creak of the floor above.

The food offering was so poor. Dinner not well cooked had to send one plate back as fish in batter had been microwaved. Breakfast poor with hard boiled poached eggs and hard bacon. Sliced white and brown bread only option. Gave by on eaten there by day 3 of 6 night stay. Spoke to other guests and this was a similar feeling about food. Disappointing.

The position in the forest is outstanding and keeps us using this hotel

On entering the property we did think that the person sitting in the lounge area was a guest and was surprised to find out that in fact they were on the maintenance team this didn't feel right, completely appreciate that communication needs to happen between colleagues, just think that this would be better placed behind the front desk.

Rooms were well appointed and clean. Hotel is on the edge of the New Forest and was lovely to walk through the back of the property into the forest and its many different paths We didn't have dinner or breakfast at the property however the areas that these were located in had a lovely set up. Great car parking in front of the property.

Nothing , Great staff and we invited friends from near by to join us for dinner one evening, and they loved the food, said they would be going back there for dinner in the future.

Noisy in the garden. Poor sound insulation between bedrooms. Our room had 2 electrical fault. Some areas need refurbishing. Garden could use some TLC (weeds).

Rooster waking us up at 4.48 every morning! Giant Chess set was missing some pieces so not able to play with our kids who were really looking forward to it :(
