Would be helpful to have a sponge/wipe/basic cleaning supply to have available to clean the sinks or bathroom after use especially with sharing with people.

Clean; safe area, close to public transport; each bed in dorm has a curtain and own lock box, plus a locker and fan. Well thought out. Staff were friendly.

It was very hot in the week we were there and there is no AC in the rooms. This wouldn’t be a problem most of the time but it was a heatwave!

The hostel is in a great location, near Tower Bridge. It’s a very social hostel and the bar downstairs is great. The dorm beds all have curtains, fans, lights, and plugs which is nice.

The phone charging socket in room 011 bottom left doesn't work. Had to change my phone in the bar. Never thought I'd say this but felt scruffy and underdressed for saying at a hostel.

- shower and floor could use more cleaning or more thorough cleaning - only one lift was working and this meant waiting for ages for the lift to come - having a place to store your luggage is nice but keep in mind it does cost money

- big bunk bed, i could sit comfortably straight on my bed (i'm 173cm) - one card to open all the door you need to pass and it also locks your locker which was handy - bed had a small locker for valuables with number lock - lots of things you could use in the shared kitchen (it is a little bit chaotic tho) - bed had lamp, power outlet and curtain - 8 mixed dorm room had seperate toilet and shower and another sink in the room -> room was full but never had to wait to go to the toilet or to shower - i found the location to be great and the tube and bus stop was close by

Location wasn’t the greatest for me, it was a bit of an effort to get to the main areas. This is on me, I should have realised when I looked at the hostel on the map. It is close to tower bridge, which is good.

The room was clean for a hostel and appeared to be cleaned everyday which made a big difference especially when sharing with others.

On one night we had no toilet paper in the female dorm toilets so cleaning staff to keep an eye on this. The soap dispenser was broken in our bathroom - did report it at the start of my trip but it was still broken by day 7. The design of the safe to keep valuables was appreciated however the design of the safe’s electricity socket didn’t work with my adapter so I had to rely on charging my devices by usb. I had my groceries marked with my name and date but someone kept stealing my eggs on 2 occasions. Cost of breakfast was a bit steep £8 for continental breakfast- no eggs. The shower needs to have a caddy or soap holder as I don’t like putting my things on the shower floor. It gets quite loud in the kitchen and basement area at night. More quiet chill out spaces please. Also the fridges in the kitchen need a good clear out as there were many items past people’s departure dates.

Lots of facilities - laundry on site, options pay for late check out, storage, power adapters. decent kitchen on site. Curtains and fans were good allowing for privacy and cool air for summer. Bathroom and toilet in the dorm so you didn’t need to leave your room with your key card. Very social and everyone was really nice and friendly.

This was my first solo hostel experience and Wombats did not disappoint. The property was spotless, food & beverage options were abundant, and the entire staff couldn't have been more cordial or supportive. Definitely recommend.

I tried to cancel my stay as much plans changed. Could not reach the reception at all. Also, the staff was probably tired, but I did not feel they were super friendly or helpful.

There were many rooms, free food, pubs… You get a card that opens stuff. I felt everything was clean and comfortable.

Both the elevators kept breaking and you had to wait a long time on them. One of the two elevators was broken for near the entirety of my weeks’ stay. Since my room was on the top floor, this made getting there a bit of a hassle most of the time. The breakfast was nice but it could’ve been a bit more elaborate.

The hostel was quite clean and the staff were very helpful. The bar and gardens are a very nice addition to the hostel and make great third spaces. There are plenty of opportunities to socialize in the bar during events hosted by the hostel. The large lockers in the rooms are perfect and the curtains next to each bed make for good privacy.
