It was a shame that while waiting to order we were told the kitchen had to be closed. Appreciate this was beyond control due to staff illness but support with finding a takeaway would have been kind.

The one night we booked for dinner the chef went home ill and there was no replacement. Everyone had to call for takeaway.

The pool was nice but every evening we tried to use it, they were doing swim lessons for young children back to back, which was very disappointing. (Wish we’d have been told what time they’d be so we could plan our swims round this).

Hotel was in a great location, and the views were beautiful. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It was almost unbearably hot, however they kindly let us have an extra fan. Breakfast was great.

A couple lights in the room did not work but wasn't a big problem for us. Signage for the parking at the annex could be a little bigger but easy and ideally located once found

The evening food left a bit to be desired fish and chips not brilliant they did forget our two mains, but gave us a bottle of wine as an apology sausage and mash just overcooked slightly . breakfast was very good.

check in was easy, plenty of parking on site, room was excellent and well appointed with a view across the grass to the lake. Breakfast was okay with eggs cooked to you liking but the variety lacked elsewhere.

Some items advertised as standard were not available and breakfast was good quality but poor selection. Lake view was a tiny snippet through a jungle of trees. Room had a balcony but would have been over if leaves swept up and some table/chairs provided.

Bar service and evening meal was below expectations. Ordered a pimms, came with no fruit, very basic. Food very basic, mother has a nan bread with meal which was more like a discus! Disappointing

Breakfast was adequate, good selection of food, self service. Tables cleared frequently, clean and relaxed Room was clean and spacious with a lovely view. Would suggest a few parasols given the blistering heat, but I'm sure this need is rare!

Beautiful location and garden. There was a lake view across hotel where one can enjoyed this view from the terrace. Staff was nice and friendly. Walkable distance to town (even though it is a bit far, but our 5 years old could easily make it back and forth).

the place needs refurb as observed the carpets are aged and the toilet tiles are cracked and i know its a pet friendly hotel, we had 2 rooms which was for our children which seemed not well cleaned with dog fur and funky smell thought it was attended to after we reported.the wifi is not great. The pool area could use refurb as tiles look aged and the changing rooms and paint.

the staff were attentive and helpful. the cleaning staff and big shout to the chef resty and staff grace attending during breakfast as they know what great customer service looks like and made us feel well attended. Breakfast was good too. i wanted to note the rooms are quite and barely hear the next room and the toilet shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are good too. We liked the pool area though looks a bit aged. The water temperature was perfect and seems really clean.

too hot in our room, even though the weather was not particularly hot; some explanation/info about the breakfast buffet on our first morning would have been nice; the food was okay, but not good enough to convince us to dine more than once at the hotel
