How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only thing I was disappointed with were the curtains in Room 24. They were hanging off at one end and had what appeared to be damp marks on them which made them look grubby.
Brilliant location! Pleasant helpful staff, lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Our room was lovely and clean. A couple of small issues which were sorted straight away. Lovely terrace to sit and have a drink looking at the sea.

Very friendly staff from the reception, bar staff and breakfast team. Breakfast was excellent. Would recommend this hotel and will use it again when in Llandudno.

Room a littke small maybe, but comfortable.
Everything was brillant. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend especial if yu want to take your dog.

The room was exceptional. We stayed in the Serene suite. The pictures on booking.com do not do the room justice because it is stunning when seen. You could tell a lot of thought went into the layout and decoration of the room. My wife loved it and my kids even more. We are definitely booking another stay.

Slightly more expensive than I would like but it is worth it.
Alice suite was very clean and the sea view and location really lovely. Staff are very attentive and friendly.

I stayed on the top floor which meant the room was very hot during daylight but the two tower fans in the room certainly helped take the edge off.

Poached eggs slightly overcooked at breakfast when I asked for them runny.
Lovely room. Excellent powerful shower. Good tea and coffee making facilities. Excellent choice of breakfast. Very friendly staff

We stayed during a warm period in one of the fire escape rooms on the first floor (room 6). Because of the fire escape door in the room, there is only a small window above the door and even though there's a very welcome fan in the room, the room was still uncomfortably warm in the night and the small window didn't allow for much ventilation. Would still definitely come back though.
Overall, a really good stay. Every single member of staff we encountered was great, and everyone was universally really helpful and friendly. The public areas are really nicely decorated. We only ate breakfast, but it was clearly good quality and service was excellent. Would definitely come back to try the food, particularly the lunch deals. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

The room was too small, the bathroom door wasn't able to open and close more than a third due to the bed being so close. There was quite an amount of mold in the grout in the shower cubicle which was a shame as the shower had great pressure and everything else was very clean.
The location is great for the Orme and the pier.
