It was all very good and will be visiting again. Only downside is that they don’t have a lift, but you could probably request a ground floor room.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The Wild Boar is a superb Inn in a wonderfull position. Our room was very comfortable and we slept well in the large bed. The restaurant was a pleasant room. The menu was extensive with interesting dishes. Continental breakfast was to die for! Above all, the staff are wonderful, attentive, charming, and interested in you and your needs.

The location of the property was convenient, slightly tucked away but only a short drive (less than ten minutes) into Windemere. Upon arriving, parking was straightforward & it was easy enough to secure a space. Checking in, the staff member was informative, friendly & accommodating. We had time to kill before our check-in time so sat in the bar area, which was lovely. The rooms were light, very spacious & clean. We’d definitely visit The Wild Boar again! Hidden away from Bowness & probably too far to walk, makes the Wild Boar Estate a perfect getaway for a lovely stay. Really nice & attentive staff. Food was fantastic.

The staff were lovely and very friendly. The room was very nice and bed was very comfortable. The restaurant looked fantastic and the evening meal was amazing. Lots of breakfast choices. Ideal location for short drive to go visiting the lakes.

The room was very hot, the hotel provided a fan to help. The hotel is in the lake district however you have to either drive or get a taxi to get to Windermere as it was very unsafe to walk on the roads. Not great if you want it as a base for hiking/walking. There were great activities at the hotel however we found it very expensive.

Lovely hotel, all the staff were lovely, the hotel was very clean with good amenities. There is a woodland walk on the grounds which was great for a short walk in nature.

The cosiness of the hotel & the log fire in the bar is very welcoming. All the staff were pleasant & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea was different, very tasty, and nicely presented. Home brewed beer .. my husband enjoyed very much. The breakfast was also very good, I especially loved the porridge, & also the home smoked salmon. Thank you for the upgrade it was greatly appreciated… and we look forward to staying again in the not so distant future.

The only thing I could complain about, was, they made this oak smoked butter that was unbelievable.... but I couldn't buy any to take home.

Everything. The room was amazing, even just the classic double we stayed in exceeded my expectations, good size room and the bed is huge! The meal at night was amazing and the breakfast was beautiful
