Our original room was above the kitchen generator but we asked at reception and the lovely lady there moved us immediately.

This is a hidden gem - it has so many little touches that make it exceptional - the staff go out of their way to provide an excellent service. We ate in the restaurant both evenings and the food was excellent!

Price was quite high but we had premium rooms at a peak Bank Holiday weekend.

Fairly recently opened following refurbishment so building and services in excellent order. Interior design and fitting very nice and stylish. Location perfect with great views out to sea and only a short trip into Brighton. Local village is quaint and offers good facilities.

The staff were excellent they went the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I left a charger in the room and received a phone call to advise me that it had been found this was before I noticed I had left it behind

Nothing not to like

Everything about this hotel is special: beautifully decorated, quirky finishing touches, very accessible, perfect location, great food choices, spotlessly clean, easy parking, bus stop right outside if you want to travel around, wonderful old fashioned seaside feel to Rottingdene. Best of all, the staff: It's a very young bar staff team, all with great personalities and efficient service, every single member of staff we spoke to made us feel welcome and all seem very happy in their role. The two receptionists were lovely and friendly, check-in and out was very efficient

Our room was at the back (facing the town) it was incredibly noisy as the main coastal road runs straight past and we couldn’t believe how many sirens there were!

50 pounds for the dog for 2 nights is expensive, continental breakfast was included but for e.g. a fried egg you have to pay a surplus

The room we had was big and well equiped, the restaurant served excellent food and the staff was very friendly and helpfull.

The surrounding area. Car park can be difficult to find a space sometimes as it's open to non-residents. No lift, can be a problem for guests with mobility issues. Rooms can be on touch on the small size, even 'Superior' rooms.

Meals & dining area were fine. Staff excellent. Hotel was still in good condition after a refurbish the other year. Our room was well appointed, but on the small size.

There is nothing not to like about this hotel and the wonderful staff who make you feel very special!

The staff were exceptional. They were all very friendly, very helpful, very considerate and would try their best to make your stay as wonderful as possible. The property is beautifully decorated, very clean, the building is magnificent, right next to the beach with very friendly-owned shops near by. Just perfect for me! The breakfast and stay/dine options are well worth it! The food is gorgeous!

Can’t think of anything.

Very close to the sea. Beautifully refurbished to a comfortable and high standard. We had a standard twin room which had plenty of space and nice extras like tea, coffee and biscuits. There’s no lift but that was ok for us. We had dinner which was good quality and very enjoyable. The restaurant, bar and outside seating all beautifully done. We went to explore Rottingdean and were surprised how much there was to see. We also did a walk along the undercliff. The car park was easy to find and plenty of spaces. It might be harder to park at busy times.
