Absolutely nothing it was one off the best hotels we have stayed in .

The parking is always available for guest and very close to the hotel. The breakfast is really fantastic as provided the English traditional one. The room is very clean and quiet as we feel stay at my home. Thank you

My friends and I had a great stay. Mike and Lynn were amazing hosts, the rooms were very nice, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect. All in all it was a fantastic place to stay. Thank you Mike and Lynn. I hope to be back one day soon.

I did not like that you couldn’t start breakfast until 830 am as my tours started at 9:00 so essentially you had to eat in 5 minutes. No fun rushing through a meal. Also other than the traditional English breakfast, you couldn’t choose more than one main course…and that might be eggs…without toast. I was hungry and was unfulfilled most breakfasts.

Only negative was that the bed/ mattress was a little bit uncomfortable and the duvet was a winter duvet so it was quite heavy and too hot for the summer. However, could easily sleep on top of the duvet

There's nothing that we disliked

Really enjoyed are stay at wheatland Lodge, would definitely recommend and we will be staying again. The room was really nice and modern and the owners where really welcoming and couldn't do enough for us, the free parking is also a big bonus.

Perfect location in the centre of the village & only a 20 minute walk down to the lake. Breakfast was outstanding with a lot of variety to choose from and all table service. Rooms and the whole property were super clean and decorated beautifully. Mike and Lynn were so welcoming and friendly, couldn’t do enough for us! Also gorgeous garden area which we enjoyed in the sunshine. Will 100% be returning and would recommend to anybody!!

What I didn’t like about the place was the absence of a lift. We were placed on the top floor, and I had two very heavy suitcases. I felt quite upset and sorry that the owner himself had to carry them all the way up. It made me feel really embarrassed.

I absolutely loved the place because it’s family-owned, with only nine rooms. The family themselves take care of the guests — they’re incredibly friendly and helpful. What makes it even more special is that the family personally prepares the breakfast, and they do it wonderfully. The food is absolutely delicious, well-presented, and organised. We’re asked to select our breakfast choices from a menu the day before, which makes everything smooth and efficient. I was also really impressed with the toiletries provided — the hand wash and lotion were both of excellent quality and smelled amazing.

We stayed here recently for 3 nights in room 8. Everything about this place is absolutely fabulous! We have stayed in various places in Windermere and this is by far the best. The room was superb, extremely comfortable, beautiful bathroom with high spec toiletries, the attention to detail was incredible. The breakfast setting and quality of food was outstanding and the hosts Mike and Lynn were lovely, their wealth of local knowledge was an added extra. I would definitely recommend this guest house, probably one of the best we have stayed in ever, a hidden gem. We will be back for sure! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Had an amazing weekend at the Wheatlands, excellent position near all shops and restaurants!!! I’d say the full breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had and the hosts couldn’t do enough for us!! The rooms were pristine lovely and clean, overall a 10 out 10 from our group of 4.

Lovely guest house - it would have been great if there was an EV car charger, and some more options like yogurt and toast as extra -for breakfast. Great location , very comfortable and clean.
