Our 5-day stay at Whatley Manor was beyond exceptional. I am hard put to find words to convey how blissful we felt. The enchanting grounds/park/gardens, the hard-to-believe set of buildings that constitute the hotel, the amazingly comfy lounges, bars, restaurants, rooms, not to mention the spa and swimming-pool, and - cherry on a gorgeous pie - the staff. In such a top-notch hotel environment, they all accomplish the amazing feat of being perfect, without… doing too much, if I can put it that way. And the smiles! They put one on your face, too, all day long. Shall I mention the stunning Cotswolds region? The jaw-dropping honey-coloured 17th-century villages. Well, if heaven had a specific address, that could be it.

United KingdomVery little to say in this section. The only thing I would recommend is that they do a bit of work on their gym. The area has a fair bit of machinery in there but it's cramped when there are more than 2 people using it at once.
The appearance of the hotel and grounds is incredible. As is the spa and sauna with the tepidarium and hot tub a real highlight. We ate an afternoon tea, breakfast and also in the small plates menu in the restaurant which was all exceptional and worth the visit alone. We also walked around the grounds of the hotel and into the neighbouring paths and loved that there was so much to do at our doorstep. We could have stayed for a lot longer. The staff were also very well trained, polite and very eager to help. Also the valet service was a fantastic touch on arrival.

The room we stayed in was so luxurious- it was a birthday trip and I even got given a hand made cake to celebrate. The grounds are stunning and the spa was brilliant. United KingdomZip and link bed dipped in the middle so as a solo traveller who likes to spread out I could only sleep on the sides - comfortable other than that. Wasn’t happy with being woken at 7.30 by maintenance of a water feature outside my bedroom - I appreciate upkeep of a property like this is ongoing however it was not time appropriate also given how much we spent for a relaxing couple of days - wasn’t happy to be getting up that early (different if I was at home working)
