How could perfection be more perfect?

Our 5-day stay at Whatley Manor was beyond exceptional. I am hard put to find words to convey how blissful we felt. The enchanting grounds/park/gardens, the hard-to-believe set of buildings that constitute the hotel, the amazingly comfy lounges, bars, restaurants, rooms, not to mention the spa and swimming-pool, and - cherry on a gorgeous pie - the staff. In such a top-notch hotel environment, they all accomplish the amazing feat of being perfect, without… doing too much, if I can put it that way. And the smiles! They put one on your face, too, all day long. Shall I mention the stunning Cotswolds region? The jaw-dropping honey-coloured 17th-century villages. Well, if heaven had a specific address, that could be it.

Not a very good breakfast Wine in the bar and restaurant expensive Cheeps bottle £40.00 to buy a nice one £65.00 Most hotels in London have a starter bottle at around £25 to £30.00

Spectacular stay. Tranquil getaway surrounded with its own haven of exceptional gardens. Very comfortable stay with outstanding facilities including the restaurants, spa treatments and room amenities and extremely attentive and hospitable staff. Highly recommend for a peaceful escape.

I loved everything although I was surprised to see a £70 service charge added to our bill upon leaving, seemed expensive and not really sure what it was for other than it didn’t feel optional

Stunning hotel, really something special. There was nothing I didn’t like, very romantic and perfect for a weekend break in cotswolds x if I had to be picky I’d say the breakfast was average.

Everything was fantastic but two minor issues , spa towels were thread bare , old and need renewing, and adding service charge to whole bill, after paying £550 for room don’t expect them to add 10% to bill and spa treatment , they took it off but really , this is greed

Very little to say in this section. The only thing I would recommend is that they do a bit of work on their gym. The area has a fair bit of machinery in there but it's cramped when there are more than 2 people using it at once.

The appearance of the hotel and grounds is incredible. As is the spa and sauna with the tepidarium and hot tub a real highlight. We ate an afternoon tea, breakfast and also in the small plates menu in the restaurant which was all exceptional and worth the visit alone. We also walked around the grounds of the hotel and into the neighbouring paths and loved that there was so much to do at our doorstep. We could have stayed for a lot longer. The staff were also very well trained, polite and very eager to help. Also the valet service was a fantastic touch on arrival.

This place is absolutely amazing. The service provided from the moment you step in is second to none. The room we stayed in was so luxurious- it was a birthday trip and I even got given a hand made cake to celebrate. The grounds are stunning and the spa was brilliant. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway

Small issue concerning storage of housekeeping items left in plain sight spoilt the walk to our beautiful bedroom. Would have been better to use a cupboard and keep the otherwise perfectly decorated home totally tidy

The tension in the bar between staff and managers was awful. 2 of the lady managers spoke to staff like they were shit on their shoes in front of us. Really unprofessional in our opinion. We were keen to leave the bar area

Zip and link bed dipped in the middle so as a solo traveller who likes to spread out I could only sleep on the sides - comfortable other than that. Wasn’t happy with being woken at 7.30 by maintenance of a water feature outside my bedroom - I appreciate upkeep of a property like this is ongoing however it was not time appropriate also given how much we spent for a relaxing couple of days - wasn’t happy to be getting up that early (different if I was at home working)
