TV not in a good position... had to move it. The bath is to die for but did not use it as wary about slipping in it and I was alone - maybe some form of a mat could be provided to place in the bath

Despite telling them about my gluten and dairy intolerance when booking, there was very little breakfast choices available that were suitable-just gf bread, fried eggs or tomatoes. Dinner options were also quite limited. Bed was super hard /firm so we didn’t sleep that well.

The stunningly manicured grounds, how clean and fresh the rooms where. Stunning bathroom. The food in the Lavender Restaurant was so good and I would highly recommend.

The electric charges. Could not use them in the end. They are asking to create a new account and not pay as charge but top up 30-60 GBP. Which means I will overpay/waster significant amount.

For the type of hotel I thought the bar area quite pokey, fortunately it was a warm evening so we could make use of the terrace. Considering the evening meal was so nice, I found the breakfast disappointing. The orange juice was processed, not fresh. The coffee machine was really slow,therefore I had to queue to get a coffee. However, the coffee was nice.

The suite was excellent, and the staff were pleasant.

The reception and bar furniture was very out of character for the setting and expectations for a country manor.

Whilst the choice of hot and cold breakfast was very good, it was somewhat spoilt by the rather abrupt manner of the breakfast manager, a lady called Louise I think. She told us not to enter the main breakfast room whilst she checked whether there was a table free and then put us in the back room on our own even though people were leaving their tables. We asked to be moved into the main room which she accommodated but she was still very abrupt which I suspect was a result of the fact that a wedding party was taking over the hotel that day. Three people then came down to breakfast and asked if a third setting and an extra chair could be put at one of the tables for two which she refused and said they would need to sit as a two and a one at adjacent tables. They pointed out that would occupy two tables and they only needed one so she reluctantly consented. She may have been having a bad day and was concerned about the wedding party but she didn't offer the best customer service that morning.

Beautifully appointed room in a junior suite within the main house . The bed was very large and very comfortable and the furnishings seemed either new or well maintained.
