Trek round outside to reach the restaurant was chilly with occasional drizzle that meant I had to wear a warm jacket and Raincoat.

Attractive buildings and grounds made the stay good. Restaurant was welcoming with friendly Staff. Always sat by a window with superb countryside views. Menus good and enjoyed quality evening meals and breakfasts. Quiet undisturbed bedroom with good size TV.

I cannot think of anything I didn't like. Perhaps, it is distance between the hotel and the town center. You need a car or a taxi to travel to the town.

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices, and the freshly made pastries were absolutely delicious. The room was comfortable, though it could use a little fresh paint. The spa, swimming pool, and sauna were clean and well-maintained, we really enjoyed the facilities. The hotel also has lots of open space and greenery, which made the stay even more relaxing.

Our room - it was incredibly small vs the photos online and SO dark, couldn’t be in there without having the lights on, it was half underground with terrible views it may as well have not had a window! If you ever get room 11 ask to change!

Although a great breakfast selection and good quality, the sausages on our full English were a bit pale for our taste however this was not raised to staff so no chance for anything to be rectified which I'm sure there wouldn't have been any issues. Little pot of beans..again this could be personal preference but we do love a good full English with plenty of grub! Whilst the hotel and room looked and felt well maintained some of the black shower cubicle frame was chipping away and some bird poop on external window frame. This is all minor bits and only me being really picky and none of this was raised when I was there so it didn't hinder my visit at all! I would definitely stay again and do really look forward to it.

Location was perfect for visiting family nearby with a lovely place to stay for some down time. Pool and spa facilities were absolutely lovely, our son enjoyed his second time swimming during child friendly times. Room had great air con, was super clean and decorated really nicely. Bed was very comfortable with lovely cotton linen. Lovely smelling products in the bathroom too! Staff were always super attentive and friendly! Parking on site which is a great bonus too. Definitely would stay again and look forward to our next visit, hopefully a little longer!

The building is exceptional, stayed in the Tudor building which was very quirky! I am not tall but I did hit my head despite all the warnings that are in place!

The breakfast had lots of choice, however the hot food (buffet for the all English) was lukewarm warm/cold rather than hot. Plus my little pot of milk given to me for my tea had curdled . Shame as lovely setting

I think for the amount spent on the rooms, breakfast could have been individually cooked, "hot" buffets are never really hot. Other than that breakfast was plentiful.

No labelling of allergens at breakfast. Messaged hotel on booking to advise we are both coeliac and would require gluten free dinner and breakfast. Dinner was great with several choices but breakfast was not coeliac friendly

Being put in the same block as a weeding party kids running up and down the corridors kicking and banging on doors all night.then getting charged twice for the pleasure of it and told wait a few days and we send a refund……

Whilst the room and bathroom were clean there was an unpleasant stain on the carpet. There was also a slight damp smell on entering the room.

Beautiful setting, relaxing. Food in the restaurant was good and the staff were very attentive. Sadly I didn’t have time to try the spa facilities.

Wish there could be blankets in the room to lounge with on the sofa

The staff were helpful, even on the phone, they go over and above to assist. The rooms are very clean and spacious and beds comfortable and the pool and spa facilities were great. Our full body massage was EXCELLENT and we had a wonderful dinner and stay in general. Would recommend this hotel to anybody. The nearby town is so quaint and the grounds and walking trails by the hotel allow you to decompress and relax.

I didn’t find anything to grumble about.

A very individual hotel, with significant variation in room styles because of the way it has grown I guess. A very soothing place if the weather is kind, especially as you can stroll footpaths from the hotel.

Breakfast okay, apart from being told the coffee machine wasn’t working. It was working in the evening and I suspected they did this due to demand and wouldn’t be able to cater for everyone at breakfast. Noise from Restaurant in room 501.
