Breakfast was delicious and very generous, great to start a hiking day. Check in and out was very easy. People were lovely and the inn is super well located for walks, and to explore the area. Would definitely go back.

Bathroom needed a little tlc. We stayed on a warm night so had to have windows open and it was a little noisy from the road eg early bin collection! An observation, not a complaint!

The public use the cage for tea and coffee, which is right next to where we had breakfast, which felt rather strange.

Lovely old fashioned but nicely modernised hotel in excellent location. Nice clean room and bathroom, good shower, comfy bed. Interesting period features Good internet. Friendly helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast. Loved the complimentary sherry in pretty antique decanter set.

Due to it being very warm overnight it was necessary to have the window open. Unfortunately the church located just outside was chiming every hour overnight. Once I shut the window it was a lot better.

I stayed in the Snug which was a lovely single room. Plenty of choice for the very tasty breakfast. Fan and fridge provided in room.

The room was on the third floor which was difficult for my husband. We had a few problems with the television but the owner did offer to get someone to come and look at it but we refused.

The room was welcoming, clean and cosy. I thought the decanter of sherry in our room was a lovely touch. The breakfast was tasty, fresh and hot with plenty of choice and more toast and oat milk at no extra cost.

Lovely decor in the Albert room. Very comfortable beds and a lovely view of the church. There was a great travel guide with local information, coffee and tea facilities and even free sherry when we arrived! My sister and I were walking in the Shropshire hills so the huge and delicious breakfast was very much appreciated. Great value for money and super central for Church Stretton shops, pubs and hills! The staff were so friendly! We’ll definitely be returning soon!

A blind was needed over the bathroom door just to shut the sunlight out in the morning but was only the tiniest issue!

The staff, Sarah and Jane, were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, and I loved the victorian theme. Breakfast was good and I will return here again. Location is excellent as your close to many shops and eating places.

There is nothing we can think of!

The room (Florinda) had a lot of character and was very comfortable. The kingsize bed was excellent. It was also good to see a bidet in the en-suite, not a common feature in the UK in our experience. The attention to detail was very good - things like the milk in the fridge in the room when we arrived. We also really appreciated the sherry on offer! The breakfasts were excellent, well cooked and tasty. The system of booking a time for breakfast and listing what you would like is also very sensible. The staff were friendly and looked after us very well. We were really pleased we chose Victoria House and we would certainly recommend it to others.

Having been recommended to stay there by my sister who stays there quite a lot, I was so pleased to find it lived up to my expectations. The rooms were warm and comfortable. Little treats like a sherry awaiting you in your room as well as normal refreshments. The selection for and the quality of the breakfast was really good. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
