Shame the swimming pool wasn't open! Wasn't aware until we got there which was a shame.

I liked the location of the hotel, the room was big enough for us. It was clean, comfortable enough for the 4 nights.

Loads of stairs, 69 to be precise and no lift although the one there didn’t work and hadn’t for years. Heavy smell of smoke and not tobacco on first floor corridor from three rooms. Bed was too big for room and are now covered in bruising from bashing leg on side. No hot water for bath or shower despite running both taps. Guests smoking outside front door which we had to walk through to get in.

Upon arrival I rang the ring door bell to be greeted with a disgruntled sounding employee just saying a 4 digit code, I looked at the door bell confused and he repeated himself with the same 4 digits, and then told me black keypad and the 4 digits again, not a single greeting, I then walked to the reception area and waited for the said employee to come to the desk, I instantly felt uneasy as the smell of cannabis was overwhelming with my 4 year old son with me. He then acted very confused and kept picking up different keys, and then eventually took us to a room, opened the door and said sorry smoke room, wait 1 minute I got confused, then walked to the top of the hotel and grunted here and didn't even say if you need anything just walked away.

very very basic - it looked like someone had punched the bathroom door - bathroom door was loose so when sliding it shut the bottom of it swang away from the wall into the bedroom - there was a hook to lock it but nothing to hook it to luckily i didn't need this. In general need of some repairs and attention. room a lot smaller than i thought had to move sideways round the bed.

Standard of cleaning needs attention to detail, i don't mind an old dated hotel as long as everything is clean. Bedroom needed a good hoover, carpet had crumbs on it and few bits of food wrappers, found a peice of half eaten garlic bread under one of the beds.

Very good location for seafront attractions and free carpark onsite. The man who checked us in was helpful and showed us to our room.

Toilet was pumping all night and staff was so long in getting key even when rang bell there was no one on reception and found the staff quite rude

Let's just say if you like the simple things in life and want to feel comfortable and secure then spend that extra 30-40 quid and go somewhere else! If you just want a bed to crash and spend as little as possible then go here!

Why have pictures on the site depicting laid out tables in the dining area that kind of suggests you serve food, when you don’t? Why have pictures of a nice looking bar area, when you don’t open it? It probably hasn’t been for some time! Why don’t you inform customers before any booking that the pool is closed? Why?

Very dated building, no breakfast option and despite having late check out being knocked at 10:00 luckily I was not asleep because if I had been woken my review would be a lot worse.

The rooms were in need of a refurb but the bathroom was filthy and needed decorating badly. The wardrobe was falling apart. Bedding was clean. The receptionist looked like he had lost the will to live. The pool areas in the morning was filthy with empty bottles and rubbish everywhere! The management allowed people to swim very late at night and the pool is directly under a lot of people’s room. We were woken at 2am by some chavs that had kept their young tired child awake and then encouraged them to get in the pool!!!! We told them to stop yelling and management did nothing!!!! We reported it all in the morning and advices what they should do to stop this and he just shrugged.

The location is absolutely brilliant. You are right on the seafront. The pool was handy as it was so hot.

parking was an issue with selfish parking by other guests blocking any chance of parking on site, with the very small parking bays, noise from the casino at the back, with people shouting, including the hotel staff using a mobile phone, I’m sure they wouldn’t have needed a phone to communicate because of how loud the conversations where. Please ask the housekeeper to look in the corners of rooms and to vacuum the carpet, which had large amounts of fluff near the radiator and and corners, please look up and you will see they spider webs……..🕸️ As for the sliver of a pillow and the even thinner quilt, its wouldn’t cost much to replace with a hotel quality pillow and quilt, ended up using a hold-all full of clothes to give a decent height to the pillow.

Room very small, ensure very poor. Unable to control temperature for shower and water dangerously hot. Did manage to get someone to attack it with a monkey wrench, but still unable to control temperature. No breakfast, no bar. Only one person to run the entire hotel. Pictures on website very misleading. Pool area very run down. No dining room.

It was too far away from a supermarket and the local buses didn't go in the supermarket direction so I had to get a taxi most days, The furniture in the room was basic and dated, The room was very warm, The floor of the room was very warm, I am not sure why that was. The hotel had an outside swimming pool, but it wasn't very clean and the seating at the pool side was not adequate for sunbathing. The hotel didn't serve food. Which meant I had to go elsewhere to get a meal every day. The hotel itself got very warm inside on a sunny day, Personally I thought that they should have opened windows downstairs in the lounge when it was like that but no windows were opened and the heat inside the hotel was an uncomfortable heat.

The location for being by the seaside was great, The bed in the room was comfortable.

When we arrived the room was not ready for us we where asked to wait ten mins so they could get the room ready. When we got in the room there was dirt on the floor and the windows wouldn't open or close very well,The shower didn't work and the hot water came out of the cold and the hot tap the bath had no plug and the floor in the bathroom had a big hole cut out and the curtains didn't fit the window properly

The hotel was lovely and a great location for all amenities and close to the beach staff where very polite and helpful
