The cabin was beautiful. Very clean and beds were comfortable. The cabin was close to the woodland walk, which was lovely, and close to the marina. We had. Fantastic views, but unless it was hidden well, was a little disappointing to find that there was no microwave, as taking 2 small grandchildren away this would have been very welcome. The only other pitfall was the use of the Park Dean facilities. We were only visiting for 3 nights and with all the other activities around Windermere, we were only going to use the pool once; however, Park Dean charge £13.50 per person, for family of 4, this is a lot of money for an hour or so in the pool. Park Dean did advise that the cost covered you for the duration of your holiday, which had we been staying for the week or more, or if we had known this before we arrived, we could have purchased the pass as soon as we got there and taken advantage of the pass. Instead, as we had no intention of spending £54.0 for an hour, and as we had promised the children (ages 3 and 6) that we were going swimming, we travelled half an hour to get to another pool. Don't let this put you off staying in this cabin, but just wish I knew what I know now before we booked, at least so we could plan accordingly.

Great host, answered all of our questions we had. Super easy to gain access to the location, set on the beautiful lake Windermere with access to the water so we could paddle board. A cosy home away from home with all the necessities you need provided for you and plenty of activities, hikes and scenery around! Dog friendly our golden retriever loved it too!

Amazing views from the property. Very comfortable and clean with all the amenities available. Best if you are driving as the holiday home is quite a distance from the town but there is a bus stop just outside the gates.

The lodge was in a gorgeous location and very well equipped. Clean and tidy and no issues during our stay. The park itself is quiet but we spent the weekend exploring Ambleside and Bowness so this was just what we needed. We’ve already booked to return for my partner and our sons birthday in July 😊

The couch was a little uncomfortable but we had plenty throws and cushions to use. Would have benefitted from a coffee table.

The location was fab at the end of the road close to the woodland walk with a lovely view of the lake. Home from home with quality furnishings and bedding. Felt cosy and extremely well looked after. There was just me and my husband so we had a bathroom each - winner!! Super dog friendly too, bowls, treats and even poo bags.

The sofa was a bit lumpy and went down in the middle. Maybe just us but we missed a side table to place a cup of tea. None of this spoilt our visit at all.

The lodge, view, and location are excellent. After what seems like a lifetime of holiday park breaks - as a child, -before having our children, with children/grandchildren, and since, this is the best accommodation and location we have ever experienced in the U K or Europe. Super lakeside park.

Unfortunately the electricity went on the morning of our departure, we informed Anne-Marie of this and she advised she would get it resolved. This did have a bit of an unfortunate negative to the end of our trip as while I appreciate these things happen, we ultimately couldn’t use any of the facilities, we’d planned to have breakfast and a cup of tea in the lodge, of which none worked due to no electricity, myself and my daughter also could not have a shower to ensure we were clean and refreshed before our drive to Surrey and then back to Cornwall. I will be honest in saying I didn’t expect anything as such, but even an offer to pay/reimburse us for a cup of tea which we had to pay for at the onsite restaurant would have been a fabulous professional response but instead we were informed the cleaner/electrician would resolve the issue, at which point felt slightly impersonal as essentially we were leaving and didn’t really need to know that information via text. I completely realise it’s one of those things which no one had any control over, but it did feel a little bit sour that it wasn’t really acknowledged as to the true impact of the situation given we’d planned to have breakfast and a shower, neither of which we could do so felt we hadn’t set off as we had initially hoped. Internet didn’t work on the 2nd day of our stay, it stated that the account holder needed to purchase more data (we did not realise this was the case until the evening, we assumed the internet was down).

Location was beautiful, modern, well equipped for self-catering. Great place to stay with dogs as it was very dog friendly and it was very joyful to walk around the site and relax by the lake.
