Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We have just spent 2 nights at Upper Home Farm and have had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was spotless with attention to detail making it feel like a home from home. Its lovely and peaceful with fantastic views all around. The breakfast was great, one of the best we've had in a B&B. Both Stephan and Graham were lovely and made sure our stay was comfortable and everything we needed. They were very welcoming and great hosts. We will be visiting again.

Where do I start…by far the best B&B I have stayed at with the most amazing hosts. The location is so serene, a perfect place to get away from it all. The nearest village is about 15 mins away where there are some restaurants/shops etc. The hosts had really paid so much attention to detail-everything was considered. Decorated in a comfortable, quirky, stylish and inviting manner. The place was spotless with fresh smelling everything (towels/sheets/furniture etc). The extra touches such as the Molton Brown goodies really gave the place an extra touch. The breakfast is cooked to perfection with quality produce being used. The hosts are so friendly and approachable and easy to build a rapport with. The effort they put into making us feel at home and taking the time to get to know us was the icing on the cake. Our breakfast time resulted in a 2 hour chat with them- they are so passionate about what they do-it truly is home from home. Location is great to see all the sights in Shropshire as well as North Wales. 100% recommend a stay here. Thank you both-can’t wait to visit you again!

United KingdomThank you for sharing your positive review of Upper Farm! Here's a rephrased version of your feedback, cleaned up and polished for a review platform like TripAdvisor or Google. This was our second visit to Upper Farm, and it was just as wonderful as the first. We have now stayed in both rooms, and we can confirm they are both incredibly comfortable, smart, and uniquely decorated. As always, our hosts were not only friendly but also very knowledgeable about the local area. The breakfast was truly fit for a king, and it's the perfect way to start the day. We thoroughly recommend Upper Farm as an ideal base for exploring the Long Mynd and the beautiful local hills. Well done to our hosts for another fantastic stay!

United StatesWell it is not a dislike but the icing on the cake would have been to be able to step out of the room into the garden.. but I understood the design of the building itself made that impossible and I was able to park the car right next to my suite so I could easily unload it to the rooms. The property did seem quite remote.. and I did have difficulty finding it.. my google map didn't pick up signal so I was following my map.. I did ring and get guidance over the phone.. I wonder if it would be possible to put a simple map on the page?
There was a menu waiting on the table which was beautifully presented, with a proper napkin.. I was offered cereal, toast, fruit and yogurt in addition to the booked cooked breakfast.. I asked for no pork and was offered chicken sausages as an alternative. Stephan and Graham had thought of absolutely everything.. the cooking was excellent and the attention to detail was beyond expectation.. a nice chat, but also respecting privacy and allowing as much time as needed to enjoy my breakfast.. same comments for day two... the decor was amazing. surrounding grounds were immaculately presented with a wonderful display of plants and flowers and a view out over the glorious countryside.. it was blissfully quiet. The bedroom and en suite were immaculate and there was a complimentary provision of toiletries.. tea, coffee, water and all beautifully presented. the shower was amazing.

United KingdomNothing, it was perfect.
We were warmly greeted by the wonderful hosts, who had news of an upgrade for us – thank you for that! The property truly has a 'wow' factor; all the furnishings are incredibly tasteful and high quality. We especially loved the complimentary Molton Brown products. You've clearly thought of every detail to make guests feel welcome, like the silent fridge with fresh milk and the complimentary wine. The breakfasts were exceptional, and we're so pleased we opted for them. With beautiful countryside views, the property is also perfectly situated for exploring many brilliant places nearby, through even more picturesque countryside and charming hamlets. This mini-break was everything we could have hoped for and more; we were left wanting for nothing. And the parting gift of homemade jam was simply delicious!

Our stay got off to a great start with an upgrade to the duplex suite and finished with the gift of a jar of delicious homemade raspberry jam. Spacious accommodation that was stylish and comfortable. Breakfasts were excellent and both hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Factor in the peaceful and beautiful location and we rate Upper Home Farm Barn as the best B & B we've stayed at.
