The pillows were a little thin for us, BUT there were enough to double up on them so it wasn't a problem!

We really liked our stay at Top of the House. John was a very friendly and nice host. It was a pleasure to stay here and we'd like to come back next time we're in the UK.

First of all, Mr. John was very enthusiastic and interesting. He patiently explained the environment of the room and nearby restaurants, etc. Most importantly, he helped me solve many difficulties as a foreign tourist in the local area. He is the most enthusiastic British person I have ever met. Regarding the living experience, the room is very clean and tidy, and the sunlight is very good. I like the small window on the roof. In short, this place gives me the feeling of home.

John, the owner, is a very kind and helpful person. The room is clean and cosy. The location is very quite and nice, very close to transportation (tram or bus) to reach easily the centre of the city. Everything was excellent! Highly recommended!

I found John very helpful, and friendly. He also pointed us to a very nice local pub. And suggested places in Manchester to us. I would fully recommend staying here. Lovely local area Whitefield as well, easy access to tram into the City.

The kitchen and bathroom facilities are together in one room, and I would have preferred if they had been separated. There is only a small wash basin for washing, so dishes have to be washed here too. However, it is not an apartment and it isn't really a big issue. It's a little far from the city centre.

John was a wonderful host, extremely helpful and friendly. He provided a wealth of useful information and had a great sense of humour! He kept in touch by WhatsApp before and during our stay, and allowed us to post our giffgaff cards to the house in advance, which was very useful. The room was very spacious with two double beds, and very cosy. There are lots of books and games in the room, which we didn't have time to make use of, but it gave the accommodation a nice homely atmosphere. Also, nearby, there are a lot of great restaurants (Lebanese, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Indian, etc.), Morrisons supermarket, and bus and tram stops into the city.

John is such a welcoming host! He was there to personally check us in and out, and was very keen to make sure everything was amazing for our stay. This place was accessible to public transport and was super cozy and private. Very spacious, shower was good too. I would stay here again next time I’m in Manchester!

John and Chris are amazing hosts, they made me feel very welcome and provided everything needed for a short stay. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The fridge and microwave are a fantastic bonus. It was only 10 mins away from Trafford Park where I was working, very easy to get to. Parking was easy in the street, even in a Transit van as I was. Will hope to stay here again if available when I’m next in Manchester. Highly recommended.

Everything you want and need in a stay.I also didn't realise when I checked in that the bedroom) ensuite included fridge and microwave which was such a delight. The room is massive with 2 queen size bed ,iron, hairdryer, everything thought of. Great communication from John the owner and kept me informed prior to my arrival and was kind enough also to allow me to order some parcels directly to his house. The 135 bus which is a stone's throw away takes you directly into town and there is Aldi and Tesco within 5 mins. I.m not sure if the sheets are 1000/1500 thread count Egyptian cotton but they were the most delightful bedding i.ve ever experienced.

We loved everything about staying at Top of the House. The room was clean, warm, perfectly equipped with everything we may need for a few days and extremely quiet. John and Chris were amazing hosts, always kind and helpful. We also loved the location, since from the house it is very easy and fast to get to the city centre.
