Having read reviews, we knew what to expect. Someone had previously said “like staying at Grandma’s” and I’d have to agree. The twin room was spacious and very clean with comfortable beds. The owner was adorable and let me use her fridge/freezer for our dog’s chicken which was a huge bonus. I think previously breakfast was included at this Cottage but isn’t now which wasn’t a problem for us as we drove into Fort William and had breakfast at the Kilted Camel (excellent coffee!). A lovely walk up to the Castle Hotel or grab a drink in the Factor’s Inn (dog friendly bar). All in all, a comfortable stay. Thank you.

nothing. all was great! the furniture technically is a bit dated and there is no window in the bathroom - but this is not negative for us. we did just fine.

the cottage is located in a super quiet area which has great parking access. the room was spacious & our hosts were incredibly nice.

Everything was great. The price and quality are excellent. A quiet place away from people. In the morning the view from the window is stunning, mountains, and beautiful horses on the lawn.

I can only say positive things about my stay at Thistle cottage. Perfect place to relax after admiring the beautiful Scottish mountains. Perfect location close to the main road, comfortable bed, functional bathroom, plenty of parking, and all this for a reasonable price. We love mountains, we love Scotland, we love Thistle cottage

This was a lovely place to stay. Gorgeous location for walks, and we had a rental vehicle, so it was just 10 minute drive into Fort William. The owner lady was also so kind. We also had a visit with the gal cleaning the rooms in the morning, and she was so nice and happy to help us with directions and recommendations.

Handy location for visiting Fort William and surrounding areas, comfortable and clean family room and private bathroom. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast choices. No problem parking.

Great BnB, the owner lives downstairs, she is very nice and prepared an exceptional breakfast for us, great coffee too. For my mum the stairs to the room were little bit steep. Quiet and peaceful location, closest shops/restaurants are in Fort William.

The owner-operator has been doing this for a long time. She is a sweet and friendly senior who cooks a great breakfast. Fort William is a short drive away. There is also a pub at the end of the road/driveway.

There was no mirror near the sink so shaving was a bit difficult. The property was very, very warm, but there may have been an issue with the heating system on our visit.

The room was large and spacious and very clean with en suite bathroom with a powerful shower. The room had a view of the mountains which was spectacular! The breakfast room was cosy and also had views of the garden and mountains. The breakfast was lovingly prepared by Morag and Cara and was piping hot and nothing was too much to ask. There was a good selection of cereals and fruit and yoghurt on offer and the table had jugs of orange juice and milk so once seated you didn't need to get up again. Cara was very knowledgeable about the local area and was able to give advice on all the local attractions, which was very helpful. Morag is a lovely, friendly host and we would definitely return again. Fort William is also a great location to explore the local area especially if you are a Harry Potter fan
