Musty smell in bathroom and hence room. No air con meant it was hot and stuffy, but at least the windows opened wide. Room service closes early.

Car park could do with being marked out, some cars were taking up the space of 1 1/2 cars, we had to drive around and around before finding a space.

The young friendly staff were fantastic, always smiling and happy to help.

Great location overlooking part of the golf course, our room was quite, so had excellent nights sleep. The restaurant was for dinner and also breakfast.

I had 2 queen/small double beds pushed together in the room however both had tired mattresses and both had a rather large dip in the centre and were quite lumpy. It felt clean enough, but getting a little tired in places.

Location was great for where I needed to be, views at breakfast were nice too, overlooking the lake. Staff were very attentive and polite, couldn’t fault them in the slightest.

The narrow road to drive to the hotel. There was no hand tissue in the room.

2 hour pool slot pre-booked, but no loungers available when we arrived as promised. All had towels on, even though it appeared that they were not being used. We had to wait a hour to get loungers after another couple left, taking their towels with them. People appeared to overstay the allotted 2 hour slot and no sign of staff to clear the loungers for others to use.

Polite friendly staff. Clean tidy room. Well stocked room refreshments. Excellent evening meal in the Lakes restaurant, Maitre D was very professional and polite.

Bathroom by the shower wasn’t totally clean. At the spa the floors were very wet - possibly inevitable but other places do wipe them down to keep the place safe

We stayed only 1 night, this is a place to enjoy, not to rush like we did.

Felt like a hidden gem, wonderful place so peaceful and great facilities, swimming was amazing, sport restaurant had great food, we were disappointed at first the restaurant was fully booked but not after having the best dinner ever there :))) we had 2 huge beds in the room, really nice and comfortable!

Shame that there was condensation in one of the window panels in our room. But that's me being picky to find something to criticise.

The room decoration is lovely. Beds are comfortable. Great views across the golf course. There's a safe and a kettle with an assortment of drink options. Feed in the bars/restaurants is really good and well priced. Orchard bar is a lovely space to relax. You can go for walks around the golf course. Clean rooms. Large fluffy towels. Lovely smelling toileteries.Second time we've been and we will return. We were able to check-in an hour early.

Getting your breakfast was a total bunfight ....queuing for teas and coffees , finding stuff eg the bread .and .. No tissues in the room , shower was a nightmare and no tablet soap . No shower cap and it was needed to negotiate shower set up . I luckily brought my own just in case .

. the hot food was presented beautifully at breakfast in small dishes and being constantly refreshed . Treats in room were very generous ..biscuits and cocoa etc

Only problem. The Sat Nav postcode takes you through a very winding single track road if there’s a better access way would prefer this. If it’s can be accessed via a wider better road surface with a different post code please amend website.

The quiet relaxing well kept hotel. Much needed as pregnant and wanted a spa leisure weekend to chill with hubby. Food was lovely restaurant with breakfast and evening meal and bar for chill ore drink before our meal. Special Spa day treatments for pregnancy and it included a light lunch with spa access. Had an overnight stay on a lovely golf room with all facilities. Superb with breakfast included before leaving.

- As a few other reviews have mentioned, the room was unbearably hot at night. We used the fan provided, but even in April, found it impossible to sleep due to the heat

- Beautiful grounds - Ample free parking (but a warning, don't make the mistake I did by parking under the trees on the left, I came back to a 'painted' car courtesy of the birds....) - Spotlessly clean in the corridors, rooms and pool area - Very large room - Comfortable beds - Water provided in the room - Pleasant views from the room out over the golf course - Friendly and approachable staff - Well-kept pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room - Tasty breakfast with adequate options and a great view to eat with - Excellent value for money all-round

The swimming /spa area could be bigger and updated. And you can only access for 2 hours a day

Nice it had a bit of everything from Sports bar to posh so you can do what you like. The staff were all friendly too. And little things like having chocolate and crisps behind the bar if you fancy something was nice too

Only thing for me was the light haloing around the blind in room, needs full blackout.

The room was excellent, facilities in room were adequate. The SPA could do with some modernisation. Breakfast and bat area was excellent

The walls were paper thin. We could literally hear word for word the guy in the next room. He was chatting all night long! No milk to go with the tea and coffee in the room - first world problem I know but still it would have been nice to have it.

All the staff we came across were so attentive. Grounds were beautiful, very peaceful.
