I was not crazy about my room under the stairs which was dark and small. But I did book a single room, and after I settled in I found that it had everything I needed. The bathroom was renovated and very nice.

The location was excellent. I could see the Eastbourne Pier from the front of the hotel. Easy to walk down the boardwalk to wherever I wanted to go. Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby.

There's nothing to complain about. I'll mention that it's a 15 minute walk to the train station and that Eastbourne in summer is mainly for pensioners and students from other countries who are studying at schools in Eastbourne - don't expect to be surrounded by English! There's truly no real negatives.

It's near the sea, with shops and restaurants in the area. The room was ideal - spacious, well designed and a bathroom that was a pleasure to use. It was quiet and a good place to relax. The breakfast was excellent. The couple running the hotel were always helpful and flexible - for example, I could have an earlier breakfast because they had truck/coach drivers staying who needed it. They did what they could to help.

Breakfast was good, room felt small. We would have preferred twin beds or a queen bed. I understand you get what you pay for. The host were friendly.

Everything was as informed. Nothing we didn’t like about the property. Guests should note that there are no elevators/lifts so there may be lots of stairs to navigate. Also, our room was efficiently set up but the washroom (toilet/sink area) was very tight. To be expected in a Victorian-age property. This was all messaged to us either directly or in the general information provided so it was not an issue for us.

The Atlanta was a welcome stop in Eastbourne. The hosts were very helpful with information prior to our arrival and that continued during our stay. Our standard double room was clean and functional, with plenty of storage space. Breakfast was great—lots of variety and served up quickly. We came for a popular local tennis tournament and guests attending the matches were provided with daily schedules. The space was very clean and attractively finished. The guest house is right across from the promenade and the beach. It was a 20 minute walk to the train station. Very picturesque and convenient. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at the Atlanta and would definitely return if we’re back in Eastbourne.

The breakfast is a bit too early, as for me, but it was super tasty. It would be nice to have a fan in a room, in case of hotter weather.

Too short a stay!

Superb position right on the seafront but also quite easy to find a parking space. Warm welcome from Mark and parking permit was most welcome too! Our room (No 6) was very clean and the view was amazing. Bed was comfy and everything was spotless. Freshly cooked breakfast by Yvette and Mark was really good, best poached eggs I've ever had in a guesthouse or hotel! Lots of thoughtful touches like a small bottle of fresh milk available to take to your room. We will return next time we are in Eastbourne.
