The bedding was far too thick and hot. The handle on the inside of the bathroom kept coming off, even after being repaired on one occasion.

The location was excellent. Friendly helpful staff. Large room with easy chairs, a kettle and fridge. A walk-in shower and bath.

I would have liked the option of paying for a breakfast, if the facility were available.

The location is great, quiet at night but central otherwise. It’s easily accessible by city buses. The rooms are fine, quite standard for the price, and much like the images shown. No surprises there.

Floorboards are creaky but who cares

I didn't catch her name, but the woman on the front desk was just a god damn delight. Take a bow, front desk woman, the world needs more of you. Comfortable hotel room, about as good as you can expect.

Was quite expensive for what it was but it was during the Fringe. Needs some more attention to detail. Room had a bit of a smell like humidity or something. It is a very transactional place to stay - convenient to just sleep there get up and go, no frills.

Central and convenient location, comfortable bed and a big room

Water temperature and pressure was not regulated well (low water pressure; temperature took very long to get warm); quite noisy as the room was close to the reception; problems having a stable Internet connection

GREAT location!! First time in Edinburgh and walked the entire time for 3-4 days minus back to the train station as that was uphill. Many delicious eateries down every street, close to the mall, close to sites. EXCELLENT!! Room was big for our family of 4. Only thing was no ac; however, they did mention they had fans so we used those. We didn't know how the noise outside would be as we had the windows open most of the time and was quiet! Rooms were darkened with curtains as well. CAn't say enough would highly recommend!

Check out was at 11 so we left our bags in the room whilst we went out in the morning. When we came back to the room around 1010, the cleaner was already in the room changing the bed sheets. This wasn't a huge issue but would have been if we hadn't already packed prior to going out.

Very clean and spacious room. We left our luggage at reception prior to check in and when we checked in a few hours later our bags were already in our room.

I rate this hotel 7 (good) but would have happily rated it 8 (very good) if the constant banging of bedroom doors, as guests came & went, was addressed. It was very annoying - especially at night! The doors need to be fitted with a simple soft close mechanism.

Location excellent. Lovely area & a short 15min walk to the train station in the city centre. I was in a single room (403) that was larger than I expected with kettle tea/coffee & nice compact en-suite/shower. Staff were very helpful & efficient at checkin/checkout & kept my bag for a couple of hours before my evening flight home.
