    No negatives, it was great!

Everything was amazing. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is only surpassed by the owner’s and their team who make a stay here stand out as something special no matter the occasion. The spa is small but perfect, we enjoyed our jacuzzi and an evening on the bar balcony with views of the beach. The food was delicious and Porth is a great location. We can’t wait to return x

It is being hyper critical to mention anything here but I am doing so in the spirit of trying to be honest and constructive. We were lucky enough to get amazing sunshine all weekend and the tower fan provided from reception didn't offer much relief. Some more powerful room fans would help sleep comfort. Other than that it was a perfect trip.

We had a lovely big room looking out over the garden. The room and bathroom were very well appointed and comfortable. We didn't have dinner in the hotel but wish we had. If breakfast was anything to go by I'm sure it would have been superb. The staff were all extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Views from the terrace are perfect and we sat out till late enjoying a few glasses of wine to the sounds of the sea. The beach is a very short walk away and is massive, no fear of overcrowding, as a location we would find it hard to beat and nothing like some of the larger towns nearby.

Beautiful location, friendly owner and staff, the most amazing food, both the Cornish breakfast and the evening menu were excellent all comes with a spectacular view over Porth bay. Especially recommend the Hibscus Margarita cocktails, best enjoyed on the balcony at sunset. Rooms facilities were good with mini bar and Cornish smugglers tea went down well. Will be returning to this hotel a real gem.

Everything. Lovely location with beautiful views and walks. The hotel was decorated to a high standard. We loved the mural on our bathroom wall. Our room (The Old Bar) was very spacious with separate sitting area with settee, coffee table and two chairs. A fridge, coffee machine and kettle were provided. We had a big private terrace with seating, table, sun loungers and parasol. The bar and dining area were very welcoming and relaxing with a terrace to enjoy drinks overlooking the beach. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was really good.

We had a spacious and comfortable room overlooking the rear garden. Newquay is quite a bustling town especially over the weekend. Fortunately Porth Beach is away from the main town (on the Padstow side) but next to the beach, so the location was perfect. The breakfast is generous, and the hotel also does lunch and dinner. The decor is nice and fresh, and we had good weather. We didn't get to swim but the water looked very inviting.

No downside to this hotel 😃

This hotel is an absolute gem! The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were bright and very comfortable with excellent showers. Restaurant offering a good choice of food. Very relaxed with outside communal space for table tennis or just chilling. It also has spa facilities. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return. Excellent!

This was quite simply the nicest beachside hotel I've ever stayed at in England. Everything was perfect. Lovely fresh room full of thoughtful touches, super friendly and helpful staff - all members of the same family - and a great location. The food was absolutely delicious, too. Really worth the detour, as they say.
