The lift was out of order throughout our stay. Our room had a very small window looking out over the front entrance, so there was very little natural light in the room which had dark decor. We ordered porridge one morning but it wasn't properly cooked! Finally, we booked a table to eat in the restaurant as it was our anniversary . We ordered braised beef for our mains which was nice enough and sticky toffee pudding which was a very small portion and poor value for money! We didn't eat another evening meal in the hotel after that.

The hotel is in a lovely quiet location near Wrea Green. The property is pleasant and the room was comfortable. There was a tea/ coffee tray which was regularly refreshed. The towels in the bathroom were white and fluffy and the shower was good. The staff were polite and friendly. The breakfast was freshly cooked.

Beautiful presented with lovely period features throughout. Well maintained and clean with nice touch extras such as water in the room, toiletries etc every member of staff was very friendly. We visited for a wedding which was beautiful, the finishing touches were just beautiful. Food 10/10 at the wedding and the breakfast the next morning.

Mix up during check in, given the wrong accessible room key, had to move rooms. Although nearby after a long tiring journey was not appreciated.

Nice large TV. Excellent large shower disabled facilities. Superb remote controlled heating/ air con unit. Lovely breakfast. Staff super friendly, nice décor, lovely feel with nice menu with a wide selection of food and cakes. Car park huge in beautiful grounds.

Only one small thing. The bedside light was so dim I couldn't read properly but the receptionist said she'd get maintenance to look into it.

The location in the pretty village of Wrea Green and not far to the coast. The bedroom was on the ground floor which was great for access to the rest of the hotel. The out side seating areas were lovely, but a cushion might be a good idea as the chairs were pretty uncomfortable after a while. Breakfast was plentiful and good selection of choices . Lovely bathroom with a excellent shower.

Poor phone signal. Complete lack of internet. Some food (onion bhajis, black pudding) a bit over-cooked. Not enough useable mains plugs in bedroom.

Most food was delicious. Cakes were exceptional. Very comfortable and the staff were unobtrusive but attentive. Good value for the time of year.

Lovely setting with nice garden area to sit out with drinks on hot day. Room was comfortable and everything we needed. Wrea Green is a lovely setting and close to Poulton le Flyde and Lytham.

The lift was out of order which would’ve been nice to know in advance. Could also do with a little bit of those small but impactful updating touches like USB sockets, better coffee, oh, and proper, bigger mugs! The staff were pleasant and helpful when located that is. Had to go down to reception for something at 11:30 (ish) but could not find anyone. Eventually found a chap laying up for breakfast. However, once found my request was sorted quickly. There could also be a breakfast and stay deal offered via booking.com.

A nice and semi rural retreat with very well maintained and appealing grounds and the hotel has a nicely presented frontage. The bedroom was clean and the bed, importantly, was comfortable. The check in process was quick at about 4pm and in general our overnight experience was good.
