We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The Staff were friendly and able to give lots of helpful information. We were in the rhino room which meant a sea view. They informed us as to which way the sunrose which as photographers allowed us to get some stunning images. The choice of the breakfast was exceptional, they catered for allergies even taking it into consideration with the biscuits in the rooms. The value for money was above and beyond. The Queen room was extremely comfortable with a luxurious comfortable bed and lovely crisp clean bedding.

United KingdomThere was nothing I didn't like 😊
The View on the Terrace is a lovely, tranquil and peaceful environment. Breakfast is a luxury experience, with different choices each day and always a lovely chat in the morning. The room was exceptionally clean, brilliant decor and very comfortable bed. So much so that I am buying myself the same pillows after such brilliant sleep! Everything is well thought out, from suprise treats to umbrellas, flannels and fresh water and milk! As a solo traveller I felt very safe and at home, able to have a lovely base to explore Weymouth. Location is perfect - right on the beach, with plenty of amenities near by and fun things to do right on the doorstep.

Ali and bill were amazing hosts and their lovely property is in the most beautiful and scenic location. We stayed in the stag room and the view is unbeatable. The breakfast was also the best we have ever had - with Ali and bill both taking so much care over our dietary requirements (my partner is coeliac and I am gluten and dairy intolerant). Ali is an experienced chef and continued to provide the best breakfasts we have ever had, even with an injured hand! Bill was also great in letting us know all the good places to go, and was very attentive throughout our stay. Everything was catered to so well and we appreciated how much attention and help they gave us. We liked it so much we asked to add on an additional day to our stay, which was also simple and quick to sort. Our room was big and the bed was so soft and comfy I wish I could take it all home with me! I couldn’t recommend the view on the terrace enough. The location was amazing and you can either stay in Weymouth with lots to do, or use it as a base to venture out into other areas. We will definitely be coming back here, to explore more of what Weymouth and surrounding areas has to offer.

Just WOW! This is by far the best B&B we have stayed in. Ali and Bill are the perfect hosts. Ali's breakfasts and daily baked treats are to die for and Bill's knowledge and recommendations for local restaurants and things to do is excellent and really helpful. The accommodation, was absolutely fantastic. We stayed in The Stag room with the bow window and the views were the best. We could have sat there all day watching the sea and the world go by. The room is exceptionally clean and really tastfully decorated. The bed was huge and so comfy. We will certainly be recommending The View On The Terrace to friends and family and will stay there again ourselves. It's a little gem in the lovely seaside town of Weymouth.

United KingdomThat we only stayed for 1 night!
A beautiful B&B right on Weymouth sea front! Ali & Bill were outside when we arrived, they were so warm and welcoming, it felt like we had known them years! Communication with Ali before arrival was excellent. Ali showed us to our room and explained about any instructions/information we needed for our stay :) We stayed in Flamingo room and wow! Absolutely beautiful room with great views. The decor was stunning and has been done really well to a high standard! Much bigger than we expected too. The bed was so comfortable with great pillows. Towels were soft and fluffy and the bath towel is a great size! It was heaven laying in the roll top bath. Plenty of space to put/hang clothing and the area felt separate from the bedroom even though it wasn’t which was nice. Lovely seating area. Hospitality table with kettle and the essentials, coffee machine and a selection of different pods, some homemade cake and a few sweets! There was also a mini fridge with cold water & fresh milk in! The breakfast prepared and cooked by Ali was all amazing with Bill keeping an eye on front of house and making sure customers have everything they need. Sorbet to start is brilliant, definitely got rid of the taste of my toothpaste! A great selection of really fresh continental items with homemade offerings (the granola is the BEST I’ve ever had 🤩). Hot options are made to order which was fab! I very much enjoyed my special and my husband said the black pudding is the best he’s ever had! Parking out the front on B&B but can fill up quickly. We parked at the train station on Ali’s recommendation and it’s just a short walk away with good prices. We highly recommend a stay at The View and we can’t wait to go back!

On Arrival, we were met by the owners Bill and Ali who were warm and Inviting. The room was spotlessly clean, and had everyone we could of hoped for our short stay. We slept soundly in a comfy bed, and woke to simply the best breakfast I’ve ever had in a b&b! Although our stay was only for 1 night, it exceeded our expectations in every way.

Is in a great location right on the seafront. We stayed in the flamingo room up In the loft space, which gave great views out across the bay. very roomy and spacious with lovely modern chic decor touches, we even had a roll top free standing bath as well as a shower. The owners couldn’t do enough for us, nothing was to much trouble. Ali’s breakfasts were absolutely amazing and had many laughs with bill. Next time we’re in Weymouth this is definitely going to be our place to stay. Hats off to you guys this is how it should be done. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Damian and Jo

United KingdomNo longterm parking on site but that's normal for Weymouth however you can park free outside between 6pm and 10am
Just returned from a lovely weekend stay at The View. Bedroom was spacious, very clean, fabulous view directly onto the beach, which was only a few steps away from the front door. Hosts were very welcoming, and this property really benefitted from their personal touch, which makes this place stand out from the numerous bed and breakfasts that line this road. The bed was extremely comfortable, modern and fresh, we stayed in Stag and had plenty of room. The breakfasts were delightful and 3 courses! I enjoyed home made granola with yoghurt and fresh fruit, followed by a freshly baked croissant, home made jam and marmalade, orange juice and then a full English breakfast. Everything tasted wonderful, and shows that this place really is a notch above the rest. Many thanks to the chef 👌it really set us up wonderfully for the day (and the mushrooms!!!! Divine!!!) The daily homecooked choc chip cookies also went down very well, and were much appreciated. 😋 We swam in the sea opposite, walked to town and also up to Nothe Fort which was absolutely fascinating in particular the nuclear bunker. We ate at Mona's Thai restaurant which was delicious, enjoyed crevettes for lunch from the fishmongers next to Catch, and also enjoyed a lobster brioche roll from Catch. The hotel is very well located. There is no main road or traffic outside, which makes it very quiet and peaceful. We parked outside to unload and then parked our car at the Long Stay train station car park for around £3.20 a day. To get to the long stay you have to go to the actual address which is 2 Jubilee Close, so go past the McDonald's roundabiut and the B & Q and you'll get to a large car park which could probably house 100 cars, then pay via the RingGo app. (tip - you cannot get there from the normal train station short stay car park, we tried but it's not possible.
