Nothing, everything from check in to leaving was just perfect for me

What a lovely warm welcome from the landlord. When I realised my room was in the attic and would be problematic for me having a bad hip, the landlord kindly moved me to a ground floor room. The room was extremely spacious and immaculately clean. I had an evening meal in the bar and my little dogs were able to join me. The food was delicious and good value for money. The complimentary breakfast was much appreciated and more than adequate to set me up for the day. I stay in lots of hotels across the country and can honestly say this was definitely one of my better experiences. The landlord goes above and beyond in being helpful and friendly. There wasn't anything to dislike at all and exceptional value for money. I shall definitely return if ever in the area again

Loved everything.

We stayed at the Trooper Inn for two nights and absolutely loved our experience. The room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable, which made our stay all the more relaxing. The complimentary breakfast was a lovely touch, and the staff were always kind and welcoming. Overall, everything was just right for a peaceful getaway, and we’d happily recommend the Trooper Inn to anyone. We look forward to returning in the future!

My stay here was wonderful. From the moment I arrived staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and informative. There is a cozy, inviting atmosphere and lots of additional touches in the room such as a coffee maker and pods, free easy access WIFI and just little decorative touches that help add a uniqueness. The complimentary self service breakfast was a fantastic bonus, with plenty of options to choose from and the view from my window was a lovely way to start the day.

I was in the top front room which has sloping ceilings and I am tall so was a little challenging at times. There was no shower only a bath. It is on a main road but that didn't bother too much.

Good size room with good coffee and tea and plenty of it. There is nobody on site and you are given a code for the doors and room. Breakfast is ok, everything you need on a self serve basis.

I stayed here in july so it's very warm and no fans are in the room.

Nice , clean, and quiet place. The staff are very cooperative, friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast has multiple options. Overall, it was a very good experience. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Next to a road which could be noisy but it didn't bother us tbh. It was a hot evening needed to open the windows, a fan would've been a bonus but we didn't ask for one so perhaps they are available on request. Again it didn't effect our stay.

Such a lovely welcome, no charge for our dog which is rare these days. Comfortable bed, bath and shower and the bonus for me was the coffee machine in the room instead of usual instant coffee sachets. Lovely location, pub was quaint with a great garden area. Basic breakfast but was perfect for us to grab a croissant and some fruit for our journey. Really lovely place, will definitely come again when in the area.

Chris was very welcoming, friendly and gave a thorough explanation of the facilities, bar/restaurant closing and breakfast times. The pub was very clean, lots of natural light and a great outdoor area - both back and front. Lots of parking too. I was traveling by bicycle and they were very accommodating regarding safe storage overnight. Really liked the bar for layout, food, drinks - and music! Friendly locals too.

We had a few mosquitoes in our room due to us opening the windows, but to be fair that’s not the hotels fault. The next night we kept the windows shut and the owner provided us with a fan which was helpful
