The internet connection was a bit hit and miss which is inconvenient to say the least. It really needs to just work 100%, but after the first night it was on and off. The connection was a little better in the bar but it's not really acceptable to have such dodgy WiFi these days.

The whole inn was mostly clean and comfortable. It was good value for money and felt safe and secure. There were nice people to check us in and it is located close to the sea front (loch front) and to the town. The TV was good and the bathroom was excellent, including the shower.

All furniture quite low, so difficult to put things out of reach of our dog. Quite noisy at times, as part of pub.

The walls were paper thin and we were in room 2 - room 1 was up at 4.00am, heard their alarm go off and from there on no sleep as they clumped about like a herd of elephants talking loudly and kids shouting

Lovely clean room, soft beds however very comfortable, bathroom with nice little complimentary toiletries although we didn’t use it was a nice touch

The location was perfect, the room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food was also good, really tasty with super generous portions. But what really made our trip was the staff. Every single person we met was friendly, helpful, and just genuinely lovely. They made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to help, thank you.

Single bed mattress was bally and lumpy, felt old.

Convenient for the early ferry trip the following morning, only a 10 min drive. Staff were great in the bar and food was good and reasonably priced. Room was large and looked like it had a recent refurbishment. Nice and clean.

Only the noise from upstairs but guess that comes with hard floors. And it didn’t go on too late

We were seeking somewhere near the ferry port, easy to find, with food and this delivered on all points. The room was lovely, very clean and with a lot of the little extras that many places have stopped doing - nice amenities in the bathroom, loads of coffee sachets and biscuits. We enjoyed a walk along the sea front before we had to leave and this was literally a few steps away.

We had a fantastic stay at the Swan Inn. Great location to stay prior to getting a ferry, beautiful coast line and the Pub was fab. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, they were very accommodating, friendly and kind. We had dinner and the food was fantastic, lots of choice and very tasty.

The beds are in need of changing but for one night we dealt with it.

Fantastic location to catch the ferry to Belfast. Pub food was amazing after a long drive up. Access to a walk along the Loch was amazing. We stayed as a family of 2 adults and 2 teens. We had plenty of space in the 1 room. There were 2 single beds and 1 double, which was perfect for us. Communication before arriving was fantastic, staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Our room hadn't been cleaned when we got there. I would like to point out this was quickly picked up by the staff and they gave us some free drinks while they cleaned it. Also our bed was extremely squeaky

Window was frozen glass if opened people walking on pavement could see in plus traffic on the main road could be heard.

Landlords children dining in bar / eating area. Vain attempt to make a broken roller curtain work.

Decor has improved since last visit. Despite quite loud music in bar, noise did not travel to the bedroom.

The staff were super friendly and I had a good night's sleep. I stayed with my dog and it was really handy for walking on the beach and catching the ferry. I would recommend.

Could hear humming noises and pub activity but to be fair all quietened down back of 11. External doors, hallway, key box could be repaired and tidied.

Staff really helpful on check in and on storing our bicycles. The evening meal served in the bar was excellent. Rooms well appointed, clean and comfortable.
