Nothing really. In comparison with e.g., Ardnamurchan and the Isle of Skye, the landscape and views are totally different, but when you love lakes and forests, this is the place to be in Scotland!

The view on the nearby lake is spectacular, the lodge itself is spacy, appropriately equiped en very clean. The owner, Ronny, is a true delight/character and welcomed us wholeheartedly when we arrived. We felt at home instantly and had some great laughs during our stay.

Wendy was our host and she was so helpful. She even helped me wash our hire car before we returned it. The cottage is adorable with amazing views, that change with the weather. I cannot fault this place. We will be back.

Could be small for longer stays but lovely cozy couples getaway

Amazing quiet location, brilliant friendly hosts with loads of suggestions for the local area and a glorious quiet outside space. There is a very friendly dog owned by the host if you have your own pet or aren't keen.

We had a great time in Laura and Ronnie's cottage. The views are amazing and the location is excellent for walking. Check in was super easy and Laura and Ronnie were always on hand to help with anything. We also made use of the spa access which was a great bonus. Thank you!

What a fantastic location and property we loved how Cody and warm the cottage was and the breathtaking views and what a welcome we received from Ronnie. We will certainly look to return when we can Definitely a Hogmanay to remember!

There was no dish towel in the kitchen.

The owners(and their dog) were great. Was an absolute pleasure to meet them. Great location, quiet and clean air.

We were given a warm welcome by our hosts Laura and Ronnie. The Stables is a charming holiday home overlooking the beautiful Lake of Monteith. We had a most relaxing , comfortable stay in a peaceful part of the Trossachs, but within easy reach of all attractions, from Loch Lomond, to a steamship cruise on Loch Katrine, and a visit to nearby Stirling with its dramatic castle.

We arrived later than anticipated but this wasn’t a problem for Laura & Ronnie, we were welcomed by Ronnie and Bertie the dog - great hosts! The view from The Stable was stunning, we’re so glad you let us share it with you. The Stable was clean and had all the facilities we needed for a lovely weekend in Scotland. Our dog especially enjoyed the stay as he made such great friends with Bertie - super dog friendly stay. We will be back!

Property is ideally located with amazing views. If you enjoy the great outdoors there are plenty of walks on the doortep. Hosts were very welcoming and available if needed.

The most annoying thing what was nothing to do with the owners but you could hear the people upstairs ever move! They were very heavy on their feet as well as dragging the furniture along the floor what was annoying when you were trying to sleep.

Beautiful view, in a lovely peaceful location and the owners were lovely, nothing was to much bother! Had a lovely walk right on the door step and was close to many other walks near by. It’s amazing they alone dogs on the stay with no extra charge!

The Stables was an absolutely beautiful place to stay with incredible views and amazing location to go out and explore the Trossachs. The hosts were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and got the most out of the visit. The place itself was very cosy, comfy and really warm (which was great after a day of hiking and swimming in the nearby lochs!) The bathroom was fabulous with a really well sized bath. The kitchen had everything you could need. Overall a really lovely stay at a really lovely property.

It was all fine!

Stunning views even better than promised! Very comfortable, great amenities ( only missed a hairdryer and a whisky glass 😉) and a wonderfully helpful and lovely host.

Lacks privacy, very close to main house and overlooked on decking and visible arriving and leaving each day. Smell of smoke occasionally from alley behind owners house next to deck. Noise coming through the walls and ceiling from the attached holiday let. They weren’t being loud, just walking around and speaking, but it was loud enough to wake me up before 7 most mornings.

Comfortable house, well presented and maintained at a good price point. Lovely welcome pack of bread, butter, milk etc. (though no tea or coffee), Smart TV. Leisure centre use very welcome. Conveniently located on a good road, with the Coop at Aberfoyle around 5 minutes away.
