Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good.

There was a wedding on the first night of our stay which we weren't informed about. The music was extremely loud. The spa was closed, which we also weren't informed about. Pillows were lumpy making the first night's stay very uncomfortable.

Beautiful hotel, great location, lovely staff.

For what we paid for our room and knowing what other paid I was disappointed. We also had the biggest bags and on the top floor (not that they would have known) also I wanted to pay in cash for some drinks and they didn’t seem too impressed on a few occasions. Would have been nice to have been told to turn to the fridge on too.

    The breakfast was great!

The bedroom was tiny, small flies in the bathroom, damp smell in one corner of the room, door to the room had massive gap underneath so there was a draft and we could hear everything happening in the corridor, the doors in the corridors slammed shut instead of closing quietly so constantly woke us, there was a wedding party with loud music late into the night on the second day we were staying which constantly woke my 4 year old which then led her to be exhausted and tearful the following day. Frustratingly we were only alerted to the late night party on the afternoon on the event with a note left on our bed.

    Location good

No one available to check in Room very noisy, bed and pillows extremely uncomfortable Absolutely no sleep for £250 a night. Not asked on check out if everything was ok and when I advised the above the receptionist couldn't be less interested Had to pay extra for anything cooked - despite it saying breakfast included

check in was easy although there wasn't secure storage for bags. Staff were helpful replying to our requests for transprt to Goodwood Races as weren't familiar with the area. the room was great and amenities.

everything was comfortable, i t was only the seagulls waking us at 4am which disturbed our sleep. I wasnt aware ans wouldve brought ear plugs! i know its not the hotel fault!

    The location is good

The room we were given was extremely dirty especially the bathroom. We left our email so that the manager could let us know about refund but so far we haven’t heard anything!

Ideal central location with parking and good facilities.

Misleading description of “cottage” - narrow staircase not mentioned so problem for elderly person with poor balance.

Location excellent. Room comfortable (if a bit small). Breakfast good. Parking place first come first served but a space was available (£10 a night).

    Wi-Fi on 2nd floor didn’t work.

Central location. Complimentary unbranded gin. Friendly staff although why are we referred to as 'chaps'? Old style lift especially to the 3rd floor. The banana and seed cake at breakfast. I liked the art print.

Being charged £20.00 for 2 calendar days parking for an overnight stay. You read that parking is chargeable but you only see this double charge when you check out. The small car park gets full quickly and the public car park is a good 5 minutes walk away. The room's windows open a scant 6" and there's a noisy fan which keeps you awake so be prepared to wake up when Chichester does, at 6 a.m. There is no air conditioning. I could also hear next door's bathroom fan at various time through the night. The smoked salmon on the Eggs Royale (extra charge) was parsimonious and the sauce was grainey, cold and congealed. The croissants run out early, disgraceful at this price level. I had eaten here previously and the dinner had also failed (boil in the bag mussels as I remember, microwaved past death) Over complicated television system unable to receive BBC or ITV but good for Mork and Mindy and CNBC :) It's a beautiful building but not a 'luxury' hotel.
