Wonderful Hotel, charming place to stay. Bring your earplugs for the pesky seagulls!

everything was comfortable, i t was only the seagulls waking us at 4am which disturbed our sleep. I wasnt aware ans wouldve brought ear plugs! i know its not the hotel fault!

check in was easy although there wasn't secure storage for bags. Staff were helpful replying to our requests for transprt to Goodwood Races as weren't familiar with the area. the room was great and amenities.

Misleading description of “cottage” - narrow staircase not mentioned so problem for elderly person with poor balance.

Unfortunately the room was dominated by the super king size bed, which was very comfortable, but it took up most of the room, leaving no place for two to sit, except on the bed. Also there was no air conditioning and the day time temp was C30 degrees.

The staff were the stars of this property. They were helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. They created a very welcoming and positive atmosphere.

Bed was very high and my wife found it difficult to get in / out. WC ridiculously low. Almost a floor level. Style over function. Had to lever up by heaving onto the hand basin.

Room pleasant. Bed comfortable although my wife found it too high.

Room unbearably hot, v difficult to use & especially sleep. Only window which could be slightly opened was in bathroom, which was totally inadequate. Fan inadequate.

Location & car parking as using a crutch recovering from broken leg op. Walk in shower Excellent dinner - best we've had for ages! - though expensive. Lovely Georgian hotel Our room close to lift which was excellent due disability problems

    Breakfast

Great location right in town, short walk to Assembly Rooms. Dinner was lovely and well priced. Continental breakfast was very basic, and a big letdown - not reflective of the standard of the hotel. Comfortable bed, nice furnishing and bathroom. Staff welcoming and efficient. Beautiful staircase, chandelier.

Excellent continental breakfast, good service...location very good,.close to Cathedral. The only thing I would say about room 36 was that it was overpoweringly warm. We had a fan but we're unable to open the windows properly. However, we enjoyed our stay

Unfortunately, at the time of my stay, there was some building work taking place just below the window to my room. With the window furnishings open, the room lacked some privacy.

Overall, it was a pleasant place to stay in a great location. All the staff were most polite and helpful. The continental breakfast was a perfect start to the day and was offered in the hotel dining room.
