The sheperds hut could do with a little step to get on and off the bed,and possibly in hot weather a parasol outside .but none of these things spoilt our stay.

Unfortunately we needed to clean the barbeque before using and then we also realized that only one burner lit. As one side was completely corroded with rust leaving a big hole so gas was not reaching the burner

No fan provided, was too hot. Not really dog friendly as not fully enclosed with gaps to field and owners garden. Bed was hard to pull down and push back up.

We had the perfect overnight stay at the Shepherds Hut. It was super clean and very comfortable and the hosts were so kind and went above and beyond to make things easy for us. The perfect rural setting, surrounded by horses, chickens and wildlife. Thank you!

The views were stunning, so relaxing and peaceful, sitting outside in the evening watching sunset listening to the birds and the horses...The hut was perfect everything needed was there, cosy and clean..def booking again next spring this time..

It would have been nice to know where to put the rubbish. I was sad that I had to leave it rather than taking it to the bins myself.

The two pet horses were too far away for me to pet haha, obviously they take great care of them and don't let strangers near them which is great for the horses but as an animal lover I wanted to pet them lol, oh and it was a bit troublesome trying to get taxis etc. but all part of the fun of being in the countryside

Very comfortable and cosy and we were lucky to have beautiful weather so we were able to eat outside and enjoy the stunning view, we arrived earlier than check in time and Mary who was house sitting for the hosts was so welcoming along with the two absolutely adorable dogs that came to greet us, we got to play with them and see the little chickens while Mary brought us a coffee and let us relax in the wonderful garden while the hut was being prepared, loved it! Mary also went above and beyond the next day and drove us to the wedding venue as we were having issues getting signal to call our friend who was having trouble finding us, so sweet and made the day stress free! We saw Deer, squirrels, bats and when walking around saw lots of the new forest ponies absolutely beautiful!

Sadly didn’t seem to have hot water for the shower, only lasted a minute then was cold for rest of time. So only one of us showered.

I wish I could leave an honest review. However, I felt sick before leaving, and I couldn't go for the whole week, so I missed out on the holiday as a result. However, I am sure that it is a very nice place to stay from the pictures the location looks beautiful and I will say it looked very stunning in the photos.

If nitpicking, I would say the lights could have done with some shades or lower watt bulbs.

It was such a cosy place to stay and had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

There was a hole in the decking next to the steps and my partner nearly broke his neck in excitement of the surprise night away, falling into the hole... but it did provide a lot of laughs

Everything about the Shepard's hut was amazing, all the little gadgets, how peaceful it was, how secluded it was, everything was thought of.. if only it had a hot tub! We absolutely loved our night away, the bed was so comfy, and also getting on and off it provided lots of laughs as it's quite high (if your below 5"6) And the visit from the resident doggy in the morning was a huge bonus! And a rogue chicken ! It's great if you love aeroplane spotting too, they come in so low!

A previous visitor had accidentally taken away the info book, which would have been helpful to have, as we couldn’t figure out how to put the bed down. The owners weren’t aware of this and they proved difficult to get hold of. Resolved in the end, but it was a worry we could have done without.

The location and attention to detail was great. They’ve crammed a lot into a small space.
